AD
Jesus. How spoiled can a team be.
and they mortgaged a decade for a relatively decent shot over the next year - for a guy who was coming anyways. meanwhile, after randle, zubac, and russ its kinda looking like guys get better once they leave lol
Randle had a great year before leaving. Russell only finished year two and didn’t shine until 4. Troll better
By Fenderputty Go To PostRandle had a great year before leaving. Russell only finished year two and didn’t shine until 4. Troll betternot wrong tho
lakers been shit so long that yal forgot what trollin was
I wonder if AD will be happy being a guy who rarely touches the ball again and has to play defense against primarily centers all season while cleaning up after one of the worst perimeter defenses in the league.
By DY_nasty Go To Postnot wrong thoRandle was the same player last year he was two years, he just added an inconsistent 3 ball.

Zubac was literally the same player he was here. He was also benched in the playoffs because he was unplayable.
Russell had a good season in a contract year.
I fully expect everyone here to change their tune regarding Ingram after 2 seasons as well.
randle only got it together after yal had those monthly team meetings - he started balling just to spite yal. zubac is free now. yal chose nick young over russell's potential

my hate for ingram was primarily because of the KD comparisons lol - i've been consistent with black keith van horn comps. i liked lonzo even when yal didn't

By jjasper Go To PostDenver could really get wild if they wanted to. Millsaps huge expiring, Harris, Murray, Barton, Porter JrYeah something tells me that wouldn't be enough..🤔🤔
I don’t mean these just for AD. They could do multiple moves
Lakers got fleeced and it's going to show big time down the line.
By Kibner Go To Postthe team that trades pays the kicker, no?
By rvy Go To Postthe team that trades pays the kicker, no?Why would they?
By rvy Go To Postthe team that trades pays the kicker, no?The kicker is added to the player's salary. So the receiving team has to pay more for them.
By Fenderputty Go To PostGood. I want them to focus on acquiring more depth and shootingCan't really do much with that amount of space.
We gave the Pels a reverse protection on the 2021 pick? Like, it’s top 8 protected for them?
Who the fuck were we even bidding against? This is the most incompetent shit. AD wasn’t even worth it.
Should have fucking kept Randle, D’Lo and Zubac and had a fun squad for years.

this coming season will be nice to see how good curry is by himself having to carry a lot of the load

There's no such thing as predicting the future 10 years from now. 10 years ago, Bron had not left the Cavs yet. Even go back 5 years, and nothing looks the same. Then, no one knew Curry was the next big thing. If you sacrifice unknowns for a certain serious shot at a title right now, you do it. You ALWAYS trade 10 good years for one title year.
If we seriously can't execute the 3 Max plan, then we really did just literally trade a king's ransom for one extra year of LeBron's "prime."
The deal ONLY made sense if we could add a 3rd guy. Otherwise, fucking sign him for nothing next year.

Because this is how you Nets yourself

Go after ring chasers .... gotta try
Lakers should get a chip in the next 3 years. If they dont this trade will go down as being worst than the Billy King trade
By Stern Go To PostIf we seriously can't execute the 3 Max plan, then we really did just literally trade a king's ransom for one extra year of LeBron's "prime."You don't need 3 max players. What you need is a lot of depth and a balanced team.

If LeBron and AD can't have a shot at winning then it's on management for not surrounding them with the right role players.
Because of the Stepian rule, the Lakers won't be able to trade future 1st round picks mid-season for trade-deadline help. Buyouts would still be available for them, though.

Yeah, so assuming AD actually does want to be here, we could have had that next year with LeBron, AD, along with Ingram, Zo, Hart, and the #4 pick.
That team would be significantly stronger than whatever we'll have a year from now if we don't get a third max and have to fill in gaps with FA signings.
I was only in favor of this plan because of the fact that a very select group of players are actually worth more than the maximum salary. Bron and AD are two, and adding a third (Kawhi or Kyrie) would have made this team a juggernaut.

"you need a balanced team" like a bunch of quality starters on reasonable contracts are just sitting out there waiting to get snapped up.

By diehard Go To Posta team with 1 superstar and quality starters literally just won the chipWhy say stuff like this with such vigor, when they wouldn't have won without all of the Warrior's injuries? I mean they did what they were supposed to do but damn the Raps did not actually beat the Infinity Gauntlet.
I remember when bringing up the Warriors asterisks was heresy. It ain't even been a week yet and Toronto ain't shit 😂
Kyle Lowry is a five time all star. Dude literally carried them in game 6. He's more than a quality starter.
