By masud Go To PostDead serious. What's the problem? To start... you want the Knicks to treadmill on expiring contracts again? After all the years the Knicks did that and struck out why bother? The Knicks could actually spend responsibly and still put out a decent rebuilding product out there, however that depends on a few things:
a) Would you max Jimmy Butler?
b) Do you view any Knick PG as worth keeping around? (Trier doesn't count)
c) Do you feel the Knicks should go after Durant now or in 2020?
d) How perpetually drunk can the staff get Dolan so he doesn't interfere with shit?
By blackace Go To Postdoubt it happensIt's the perfect story arc. I'm rooting for them.

The Knicks could actually spend responsibly and still put out a decent rebuilding product out there, however that depends on a few things:It's not about the expiring contracts. I'm trying to get assets for giving teams cap relief this summer, I think thats the best way to spend that 70 million at this point. Fuck next summer, should be in talent acquisition mode, I'm totally down to take on longer contracts (for the right price).
By The Frankman Go To Posta) Would you max Jimmy Butler?
If we get Kahwhi sure. But were not getting Kawhi so no.
b) Do you view any Knick PG as worth keeping around? (Trier doesn't count)
They're all trash, Kadeem the best one. We should move Frank on draft night and DSJ has next season to show me something.
c) Do you feel the Knicks should go after Durant now or in 2020?
Kevin Durant should heroically lead the Warriors to the 2021 title.
d) How perpetually drunk can the staff get Dolan so he doesn't interfere with shit?
Interfere with us signing KD? I hope he does.

I mean they should pay up especially KD but 🤷🏾♂️

I would say that even if Kawhi's agents about-face and want him to stay in Toronto, it's at least certain he'll opt-out and have Toronto do a long-term deal.
By blackace Go To Postthe real winner in this is Jimmy Butler... fuck yeah, he's the only healthy guy ranking in the Top 6 who doesn't seem to have a set preference for where he goes outside of Kemba and he's Mr. Supermax.

Parker
LaVine
Jabari Parker (2014, 2017) - Parker tore his left ACL during his rookie season and was sidelined for 10 months. He then suffered the same injury in 2017 and just returned last week after a year on the sidelines.
LaVine
At the Sept. 25 media day, LaVine said doctors told him nine months is the safe estimate to be cleared for contact. LaVine suffered the injury while playing for the Timberwolves on Feb. 3. The Bulls have said they will proceed conservatively with the centerpiece of the Jimmy Butler trade.

Ay yo, SAS just said that KD's own doctor (separate from the team doctors) had cleared him to come back and play in GM5. I'm sorry, but what? Fire that motherfucker and sue the shit out of him and make that your supermax contract.
By unknown Go To Posttraitor lol.
By Branduil Go To Post"Cleared to play" is such a wonderfully ambiguous phrase.
Ok, but the context surrounding "cleared to play," especially in this specific case, is not ambiguous at all.
Aren't we still waiting on the receipts on whether or not the initial injury was deliberately misrepresented as a calf injury in the first place?

I think Kawhi has too much self-respect for himself to go to the Clippers. We will see, however.

maybe new balance will give him a better contract if he signs

You mean Draymond wasn't immediately on the phone with Kawhi after the final buzzer?
Kawhi is absolutely staying now that we are champions. Dude has spoken many times about how the medical staff takes care of him and I think that means a lot to him after the Spurs situation, combined with the fact we have the chance to build on this win.

Yeah, I think Kawhi should definitely stay with you guys, especially if he intends on staying with New Balance.
No one can be a better co-ambassador of New Balance with him than Drake.

taken from LG
SAS has Windhorst on his show, from what they've heard sounds like Kawhi is really serious about going back to LA. They think it really is between Raptors vs Clippers. They did say that if the Lakers want a shot at Kawhi, they should still get a meeting but they should only send 3 people, not the whole 9 people congregation of Jeanie, Rob, Kurt, Linda, Tim, etc. They said that stability in an organization is important to Kawhi which is why he prefers Clippers over Lakers.
