What’s Rich Paul going to do when NOLA doesn’t like any of the offers and keeps Davis and LA is forced to trade or sign someone else or waste another LeBron year and has no room for Davis next year

He's just going to make sure he signs Zion to Klutch and repeat the process in perpetuity.
By Fenderputty Go To PostYeah but when the noise includes alex fucking Caruso, it makes the signal harder to pick up. Specifically in the tier he's in. Ingram gets a lot of hate around here, but he's still 21 and doesn't turn 22 until sept. Nobody is rating Ingram that low on potential alone.
all the evidence I needed tbh
Ingram was in the 80th percentile this previous season scoring in ISO situations, above players like Derozan, Butler, Kyrie, and even Bron. Dude is talented and if he can improve his 3 point shot will be a legit player in this league for a long time.
He is already solid on defense but his offense, specifically shooting (including free throws) needs to improve big time.

The new GM for NO is quoted gushing over Ingram last year too. That list is hilariously bad. But hey ... they're all worse than Caruso so it proves their trash.
I don't envy NOLA's position at all. I'd have a legit gripe too for letting Lakers dump all their trash off on us and they get rewarded with AD as a result.

By unknown Go To PostReilo still salty that he got that broom. He knows we are right and want to exaggerate and overrated players just for his agenda against the knicks.Yes, I'm salty that my team made the WCF while you're happy that you won 17 games and missed out on the #1 pick. /Knicks fan logic
Honestly its a game of chicken. I think the Lakers want to avoid another year of being trashed in the media more than they care about waiting one year for AD from an operational standpoint. NO is just trying to get as much as they can now. They'll get less and less as time goes on though and the Lakers will look like clowns all summer if they don't get it done now and swing and miss in FA (which is going to happen). Unless they can talk AD into staying it probably behooves both orgs to get it done quickly. There's also the pick factor at play. If a deal doesn't get done now and the Lakers pick who they want at the draft, then NO missed their opportunity to select who they want at 4.
Vegas odds on where Davis ends up are ....... interesting.

Kevin Durant (Achilles) reportedly views picking up the player option on his contract worth $31.5 million for the 2019-20 season as a last resort.Real talk, I hope he opts in. Stick GS with the bill for rehab.
We still haven't heard the extent of KD's Achilles tear, but he's assuredly looking at a lengthy rehab process, and there's a chance he won't play at all next season. Still, he's expected to receive multiple max offer sheets from teams around the league, despite dealing with this devasting injury, and a new deal for KD would start with an annual salary of $38 million.
By Kabro Go To Postor the future is highly uncertain and sign the biggest possible contract wherever. He's getting max whenever he decides to be a FA. There's going to be no expectation for him to play next season so no reason to rush the rehab.

If anyone offers him long term money before he’s stepped on the court again, he’s stupid for not taking it
an insider on reddit is saying principal deal has been agreed on between lakers and Pels, just the roadblock at this point is the third team. as for the Insider, everyone is responding to him positively, he seems to have credibility.
I wager its Ingram + Kuz +4th pick and maybe sign and trade KCP to make the math work.

Hey guys,
As of 10pm yesterday, Lakers and pelicans have agreed on majority of the trade. What I was told is that Lakers have official told pelicans what they are putting on the table, and the pelicans have agreed to it
The problem has been the third team, during the initial stages it was between Chicago and Phoenix. However both teams have fallen off, two new emerging team have came out, the wizards and the hawks.
There is a high sense of optimism that the trade will get done.
https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-knicks-organization-consider-signing-125217435.html
Signing Durant or any player coming off of an Achilles injury is a risky proposition, of course. But if Durant has to miss a full season to rehab his injury, the Knicks could theoretically give their young players like Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, Allonzo Trier, Damyean Dotson and presumed No. 3 pick RJ Barrett a year to develop while Durant recovers from his injury.
The Knicks also plan to aggressively pursue Kawhi Leonard in free agency and have had at least one conversation with New Orleans about an Anthony Davis trade. They had also planned to pursue Kyrie Irving this summer. But teams monitoring Irving's situation remain under the impression that, if he chooses to leave Boston, the Brooklyn Nets are currently the most likely destination for Irving, per sources.
On the Davis front, some Knicks decision makers have been adamant about not giving up a ton of significant assets – young players or draft picks – in a Davis trade, per SNY sources. Some in the organization are wary of giving up too many young assets or picks for Davis, citing the way things played out for New York in the wake of the Carmelo Anthony trade, per sources.
ESPN reported on Tuesday that the Lakers are the "leader in the clubhouse" for a potential Davis trade. One league source said Tuesday that Los Angeles had made progress towards completing a multi-team deal.
The Knicks had dialogue recently with at least one team in an effort to put together a multi-team deal for Davis, per sources, but it appears that they've been unwilling to offer what Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin desires in a Davis deal.
By Pac-12 Go To PostFound syphon and masud, but I don't think I see Frank. Do y'all want broken KD or not.Not me. Given our history with giving injured players lots of money i don't know if we should take that risk. I really wish people would leave us alone for the next few years so we can build up a talent base.

Vanderbilt point guard Darius Garland is viewed as the "likely selection" should the Los Angeles Lakers hold onto the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft, according to the Los Angeles Times' Tania Ganguli and Broderick Turner.

The 3 team trade is mildly interesting in that NOP obviously don't like the assets that LAL have on the table, but have agreed that if they can get what NOP, they'll do a multi team deal.
And the only other assets than the current stash of mediocrity is a bunch of LAL firsts.
Are LAL really going to mortgage their future for maybe 2 years of LBJ and 1 of AD?

Phew
Of course they are.
I would imagine AD and his camp have given the Lakers word that he will resign there if traded and rebuilding around a 29 year old AD is a lot better than starting from scratch. I hate to give up the entire squad for 1 guy, but when that 1 guy is AD you roll the dice.
Besides, all of our young guys are trash so what future are we even mortgaging? Right?

AD also has a long history of injuries.
His "word" is that he signed a 4? year deal with NOP, then mid way through demanded out.
What happens when he gets there, see's the cupboards bare, and wants to go somewhere else to eat?

AD and his injury history is overblown, aside from last year where he punted the last half of the season here are his seasons:
64, 67, 68, 61, 75, 75, 56 (this past season)
Obviously it isn't ideal but it's not like he's played in less than 40 games multiple seasons.
AD is the reason another star will come to LA. You don't have to have to trade for one, free agents are a thing. Besides it looks like we are giving away 3 picks at max, two in 2019 and 1 in 2020. That is hardly what I would call a bad deal.
I'm also operating under the assumption that Pelinka won't fuck this up, which in all honesty is a pretty bold assumption.
