GSW should be trying to do everything imaginable to convince KD to stay.
They should have gotten rid of Draymond at the trade deadline.

I vaguely remember how Dray was just so disrespectful to KD earlier in the season though.
It's nice that Dray had a nice WCF, but I just don't see how you can pass up on keeping two supermax players on one team instead.
I would have traded Dray for Ibaka probably.
Or you know what? I would have tried to trade Dray for AD too. NOP could had gotten Boogie back too.
By aka Espi Go To PostYou would be better off letting Dray go for nothing
How do you go from Ibaka to AD…
Because initially I have AD locked in as a Laker only.
By Smoke Dogg Go To PostI vaguely remember how Dray was just so disrespectful to KD earlier in the season though.and you would had lost to Houston

I actually had no idea there was speculation to the effect that KD actually suffered an achilles injury?

Everyone speculated that when it happened, but the Warriors said otherwise.

Oh ok, I thought the speculation came up after the Warriors' statement.
After listening to this, first time I've come away having a very high opinion of Doc Rivers as coach.
Whereas dumbfuck Byron Scott just thinks you should run your players into the ground because no pain no gain.
Phil Jackson and D'Antoni think no need to call timeout even when a 20 point lead is being blown and choked away.
Man, I'm starting to feel like, maybe Celtics were the good guys and Metta World Peace is just the biggest Kobe stan of all time.
By pilonv1 Go To PostI didn't put more than about 5 seconds of thought into it so I'm not surprised. But couldn't they sign a bunch of dudes that put them over the cap then trade this package for KD?If you re-sign a player using bird rights, you can't trade them for one year so Durant would be signing the exact same deal as he would be by just going to the Knicks. Why would the Knicks give up that #3 pick? Why would Durant want them to?
Jrue and AD each with a single third team vote. That trade request really diminished Davis in the voters' eyes.
By DY_nasty Go To PostTrade his ass do it Mitch
He'll just get back John Wall.
By JJJasper Go To PostWestbrook being on there seems strange. He was outright bad for stretches of the season. He is the most recognizable person on a team with a better than average record. That's why.
yesssssss no Beal, thank GAWD
happy for you dy happy for kemba and the supermax couldn't happen to a better guy

🤔 Ya know, this could work for both teams. John gets to go home and lead the tank.
Problem is outright tanking feels so wack these days with the new lottery odds. Being regular trash gives you a watchable product and ok odds to jump up in the draft.
By diehard Go To Postcan we plz fix this supermax situation before it affects my team?
Gobert gonna have hurt feelings if yall don't give him the supermax now
Ricky Rubio to sign for one year and make third team All NBA next year.
(technically couldn't supermax anyway, but it would be funny to me)

you won't complain when you eventually land lebron james jr in 5 years
someone voted wade 2nd team xD
we're talking votes that can flat out determine the future of franchises and players and writers sitting here jokingly voting for shit

I'm not sure either Brown or Tatum is all that good, but that Celtics team was a disaster, so I don't know how much you can take away from this year.
Giannis might be an example of the supermax working though.. It's the B tier guys that it's a bad rule for. Maybe even just make the rule apply to first team All-NBA.
only the max contract dollar amount should count towards the cap with the extra supermax money being off the books. this lets you pay 1st level talent what they're worth without completely trashing your capsheet which is inevitable with the current supermax setup.

Hell no. It should cost dearly to pay these non-transcendent fucks that much money. No one puts a gun to their heads and says they have to.
If you aren't dragging your team to titles, you're not a supermax player. If the building isn't full when you're on the road, you're not a supermax player. Owners have to stop paying people like they are.
