Having a PG helps - at the same time, they've been running PGs out of Houston for years. They picked up Chris to acknowledge the mistake then bid against no one to keep him while ignoring the main reason they keep losing.

I'm actually somewhat optimistic about them firing Thibs and not replacing him with somebody Taylor knows like Billups or Calvin Booth. Rosas and the assistant GM he hired today both seem like good, qualified people that understand the modern NBA. Save this take for when they blow the pick and draft Hachimura.

I'm just saying i wouldn't take any other West team in a series over Houston besides Golden State (this will probably change next year) and probably only the Bucks in the East, with the Raps having a good shot.

Without Nash there to run his system in LA it was a wrap. Gasol started crying about shooting threes. Kobe took over the offense completely once it was clear Nash was a zombie. Dwight was hurt. Lakers don't miss Mike D but he never got a chance to really do much.

I think Mike D still had the Rockets performing "well" this post season. First two games were relatively close in GS. CP falling off didn't help anything. I think they missed Ariza despite his shooting woes too.

MDA didn't do anything for them to perform "well". He didn't make adjustments to anything. Capela was getting ate up and he still insisted on playing him.

the whole league was kinda ass this year. Sans the Warriors every team has a glaring flaw that trades and time probably won't fix and unless they get lucky, this might be the peak of most of them. The Bucks and Raptors are the kings of the east when Kawhii is probably gone leaving them w/ max Lowry and Siakam., while the Bucks are getting carried by cheap dudes who will be looking to get paid and the Bucks probably won't be able to do so. Which means both teams have to hope they draft well w/ late picks or giannis gets a jumper and Siakam levels up again. Don't get me started on us relying on Mr. Glass and Mr. Fuck a Jumpshot. Boston is imploding and everyone else is just happy to be here which will probably lead to dudes getting the max that don't deserve it and people being shocked when it backfires.

out West Denver is relying on Milsap to save them as Murray chucks it away. SA's clone factory is in stasis. The Clippers are relying on FAs coming to play for the Clippers. The Blazers are probably maxed out in terms of progression. Houston now has the corpse of CP3 on their hands. Utah needs to get Mitchell some goddam help so he doesn't chuck himself to death.....which will require FAs to go to Utah.. OKC is carried by two dead men walking.

A lot of teams are going to have to rely on miracles going forward...going to be interesting to see who gets it.
