By the time he'd be a free agent, he'll be starting a max contract. Like, come on, he's not kicking that payday down the road. He'll take the guaranteed money and suck it up in New Orleans for seven years.

It's easy to see why Bol is one of the most intriguing players in the 2019 NBA Draft; the center officially measured in at 7-foot-2 and 1/4 inches with his shoes on and recorded having a 7-foot-7 wingspan and a 9-foot-7 and 1/2 inch standing reach (WHOA!) at the NBA Combine.https://sports.yahoo.com/bol-bol-mind-boggling-measurements-220223733.html
Once drafted, Bol will be the third tallest active player behind 76ers center Boban
Marjanovic (7'3 1/2") and Mavericks' Kristaps Porzingis (7'3). His standing reach is half an inch short from tying the NBA Combine record of 9-foot-8.
Bol's height and standing reach weren't the only eye-catching numbers he posted at the NBA Combine. Bol weighed in 208 pounds, the same weight as Duke's 6'8 Cam Reddish. He also was listed at 7.1 percent body fat, the highest percentage measured so far.
On the 2018-19 Oregon basketball roster, Bol was listed as 235 pounds before his season ending foot injury. It's highly possible Oregon rounded up on his weight, so it doesn't necessarily mean that the 18-year-old has dropped almost 30 pounds. However, NBA teams will want to see him get stronger and put on more weight.
Bol has not been cleared and will not compete in the testing events at the combine. On Tuesday, he told TNT that he was three weeks away from being cleared fully.
Will he be a lottery selection or has his draft stock slipped? Here is where mock drafts predict Bol will be selected in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The highest-rated basketball player to ever sign with Oregon seemed to have come and gone in a blink of an eye. A former five-star recruit, in his nine games with the Ducks he led the team in points (21.0 per game), rebounds (9.6) and blocks (2.7) while showing off his terrific outside shooting (52 percent from three).
By rvy Go To PostBut can he shoot 3s in the nba?be a steal at 4 👀👀
I'm just hoping Cam Reddish is off the board by 11 to save the Wolves from themselves. I know Phoenix or Atlanta is up to the task.
Damn, ESPN not even waiting till Zion gets his first contract to try and talk him outta New Orleans.
I want Bol Bol in Atlanta.
I want Bol Bol in Atlanta.
Bol Bol is incredibly tall and can shoot, but he has nothing at all strength or athleticism wise. Like if Myles Turner was 5% as athletic and weighed 40 pounds less.
Maybe Bol Bol will get more athletic over time.

So just to recap how much salt-induced gaslighting got thrown around ESPN yesterday:
- Lied about Jrue demanding out. Which thankfully they had to walk back by the end of the day.
- Lied about Zion supposedly being whisked away in utter despair(turns out he went to an interview and a later video just showed him laughing
and maybe a little in shock at the situation but nothing anywhere close to that)
- Played up seriously the ways in which Zion may supposedly be contemplating pulling an Eli over going to NOLA.
- Trashed the city and fans endlessly and somehow continually pushed the argument that N.O. was undeserving while I guess NY and LA, two
equally mismanaged franchises(that, unlike N.O., have done nothing to change that), were somehow deserving.
When Bill Simmons and Michael Wilbon are the voice of reason in sports for a day, you know the glamour market salt has gone full tilt
I don't get why ESPN has endlessly trashed New Orleans as a city.
I get being critical of the organization. Of course doing that and then say he should be on the Knicks and Lakers is hilarious.

By JJJasper Go To PostI don't get why ESPN has endlessly trashed New Orleans as a city.Because it's all about ratings and they'd much rather have to put more Knicks or Lakers games on than Pelicans. Can't wait for them to try and sell me on RJ Barrett and the Knicks regularly taking up that 8pm slot on Wednesdays, though.

I mean I get it but they are out here yelling about how it is "the worst place he could go" I mean how do you even quantify that? It is just dumb.

Can't wait for them to try and sell me on RJ Barrett and the Knicks regularly taking up that 8pm slot on Wednesdays, though.I also think the nicest perspective is simply the city and organization don't have much recognition in the national media. So the homers get to trash without any opposing voice in the room.
We have like one or two full time reporters covering the team for the local paper. No one that has really worked up from the N.O. Pelicans beat to national notoriety. And Demps notoriously liked being cut off from the media, keeping things locked down, not fostering relationshipsl like other franchises do(one thing that is a clear change with Griffin is that he clearly has a relationship with WOJ and several other "insiders" that Demps shunned).
Still, fuck em for much of that stuff.
I might could be more sympathetic to small market teams if revenue sharing weren't a thing. It's hard to know if y'all are even earning your own bread though. Y'all be having some nerve doling out max salaries and then taxing people who can actually afford to. But fuck the Lakers, right?

But fuck the Lakers, right?Pels actually put that money back into the league by operating with one of the more expensive rosters the last several years. They never went into the luxury tax but were always right up against the salary cap.

How have the lakers survived paying zero tax dollars while collecting on it the last 5-6 years?

Y'all be having some nerve doling out max salaries and then taxing people who can actually afford to. But fuck the Lakers, right?I mean you could always go for a free for all and watch as the league collapses and cannibalizes itself into a dozen or less disproportionate teams that will crater in fans and likely overall revenue as large swaths of the country no longer have much vested interest in a sport driven by star talent that will be reserved mostly for mega cities that can pay their price tag....Or you could stop caring about some multi-billion dollar businesses having to give up a few 100 million a year to make a league more competitive and balanced while they reach into taxpayers pockets to cover their expenses.
But not sure what the fuck this has to do with ESPN gaslighting for 24 hours?
