By Kibner Go To PostGonna own watching Jrue throw some oops to Zion in their red NOLA unis next season.a Randle Zion fastbreak would be terrifying
Also, I highly suspected that the Kings had someone lined up for a job and said so in the other thread. Looks like Luke wanted out of that shit hole, it doesn't seem very mutual. Sounds like he quit.

Off his dad's name? He's living off of an insane record that the Warriors gifted him with Kerr out.
Pelinka may have gotten the okay, but he got it too late. It's very clear that Luke already had one foot out the door with how quickly the Kings fired and hired a new head coach. "Mutual" decision is just PR speak for saving face that someone else abandoned their crumbling organization. That's our go to wording for fiascos like this.
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostOff his dad's name? He's living off of an insane record that the Warriors gifted him with Kerr out.Dude got fast tracked to a head coaching job faster than almost any coach not named Kidd or Fisher... Kidd is a HoFer and Fisher just knew the triangle... He almost had no reason to had been the ast that took over for Kerr... they even gifted him a job as player development before he went to the Warriors.. He milking the Walton name.. Daddy even made him more desirable by pushing his name to UCLA...

They still had his rights, a coach can't quit in the middle of a contract and sign with a new team the next day. Mutually parting ways gets them both off the hook.. The Lakers don't have to pay one of his two years that were left and Walton can take a new job today.
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostYou're talking about a lackluster playing career. I'm talking about getting paid as a head coach. He hasn't done anything to be a top 10 paid head coach.. Dude was making more than Mike D..

I'm not sure what you're seemingly arguing about. I never said he deserved any of it. I'm saying he got lucky. There was no way he could NOT look great coaching the Warriors while Kerr was out. I didn't think I had to spell it out.
I'm not arguing that Luke is good at anything. But I will reiterate, mutually parting ways is PR speak for jumping ship. He just helped them lessen the complication and mess, had a job lined up and they sorted the rest out. Luke bailed. Kings already had a commitment from him.

Contracts don't work like that. If they didn't want to fire him and he quit he couldn't take another job for 2 years.

By blackace Go To PostBut he basically plays like a dollar store version of Walker and people didn't like him and Luka together then. Yeah Kemba is way way better but just saying…A dollar store Walker is all they need at that spot - but selling high on a player who's gonna need 2-3 years minimum to be a positive on a winning team is a win. DSJ is just trash on the Knicks too. People stopped looking after his first games. Awful player right now. Meanwhile Brunson could never get better and he'd still be a good value player off...

Assuming Bron gets some help this summer and the Kings continue to improve, who are the Mavs leapfrogging to make the playoffs in the next two years? They may have traded us an unprotected lottery pick...
By DY_nasty Go To Postknox sucks too since we on the topicDoesn't even matter though. Imagine being a fan of a team that has to draft well to build a winning team. Couldn't be me...
they probably could've won 35 if they'd tried and not dedicated the last bit of this season to last minute tanking along with Dirk's going away party
