Just got to Mission 11. Why the fuck do Nero and V even exist in this game? Dante is godlike. Should've just been 21 missions of Dante kicking the shit out of everything.
By rvy Go To PostAlmost done S ranking my Devil Hunter playthrough. Those V missions are a bitch to S.
By rvy Go To PostThink I’m up to mission 8, and I’m in awe. The game is super smooth, looks incredible at 4K with HDR. Gonna play some more soon, can’t put this shit down.
(suhni the goat)
sup lads, how are those playthroughs coming along?
By /sy Go To PostI actually named that channel after Jimmy Neutronsure jimmy.
It just keeps getting better. Up to mission 13 or 14 now, I don't feel worthy of this game. It's too good for me.
people complaing about level design being a literal straight line meanwhile im so glad they eliminated the shit like get the Eye of Deviloagarron then backtrack through the entire map to get to that one room to power a generator so you can finish the level.
up to the alpha and the omega, cant believe this V did manage to live up to everything i wanted

I wanted kill room after kill room and they delivered.

By SUPER YARAK Go To PostJust finished. Wewlads.comdid you do well in the credits combat sections? if you get approval from the NPCs after the fight is over you'll get 2 extra cutscenes
they're worth it imo

Hmm...
Is Urizen's shield on a cooldown or do you have to break it? Started a file at my folk's place and I'm gonna restart it later (probably when I'm done with KH 3). Didn't seem impossible to beat, but I ended up losing anyway.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostHmm…You're meant to lose the prologue the first go around. But if you do, you beat the entire game and unlock Son of Sparda difficulty early.

You can beat him though, you have to break his shield then attack his body, the shield is on a cool down and comes back with full health.
Finished on DH, want to go back through to S rank the few missions I played like shit then try Son of Sparda. Capcom are back on top
By MonadL Go To PostI've done a complete 180 on Dante's theme. Out of game it's trash but in game it's perfect.
getting an S+ rank combo with Dante and then "YOU CANNOT KILL ME" kicking in is the hypest shit
S ranked all of Devil Hunter. Half way through SoS.
Gotta chill, taking up too much of my time.
Also, fuck V.

Some of these buster animations are RIDICULOUS. omg I wish I could play the whole game as Nero.
If you have the chance, do the suped up buster move on the big enemy with to tongues in chains.

Teach me the way to S rank the prologue. I tried a few times last night and kept finishing with As.
By HottestVapes Go To PostTeach me the way to S rank the prologue. I tried a few times last night and kept finishing with As.Pretty straight forward, style with Nero. Don't get hit too much against Urizen. Recommend using Rag Time once you break the shield. Hell, load up on 8 rag time breakers and go wild.
Finished SoS. You unlock a new skill/weapon slot for Dante and an EX costume for Vergil(DMC3 colors).

Thougts on level design criticisms.
I actually like 5's level design. It's just combat arena funnelled into combat arena with just enough space in between to catch your breath. No frills, the game knows why you bought it and only showcases its strengths. Way better than 4. Hated the dice game, the castle and all the shitty platforming.
Now, the environment art/ art direction took a nosedive after mission 13 though, just demon tree guts after demon tree guts until the final boss(I don't keep the colors of the last 3 or 4 missions though)
My favorite missions in terms of environments are mission 2,3, 4,7, 12 and 13. Quite liked the city, building interiors and ruins.

I’m neutral on the level design, it’s simple but not bad. Sometimes it’s really good like that mission where you’re fighting on the theatre stage that’s sliding down hill but I think it needed more spectacle like that to be “good” on the whole in my book.

DMD is ridiculous lol. Imagine if every game had difficulty settings this fine tuned, the bosses behave completely different lol. SoS already changed up their moveset but DMD goes even further and gives enemies more health.
I actually hated DMD in DMC3 and didn't mind it in 4. Are attack patterns different, or is it just all enemies DT and take 5 years to kill?
The only issue I have with the levels is how kind of bland they are. There's no real feeling of place or progression. I wish that element of the game was as flashy as the combat.

Not sure about regular enemy patterns.
i noticed the super armour cleaver enemies had a new move in Son of Sparda. They have a jumping attack when they aggro that i didn't see in Devil Hunter.
Never minded the enemy buffs in DMC3. By the time you go to the upper difficulties you were already broken and moulded anew by the game. More HP, DT = more time to style. Looking forward to Dante so fights actually last more than 20 seconds with his abilities.
Going to S rank every difficulty in this like i did with DMC3 :')

that upgrading whenever you want is the shit, cant believe only capcom has thought "hey maybe people will want to upgrade once they enjoy the game rather than committing $100 on a preorder"
By Xpike Go To Postthat upgrading whenever you want is the shit, cant believe only capcom has thought "hey maybe people will want to upgrade once they enjoy the game rather than committing $100 on a preorder"everyone thought of this but it's probably more effective when you trick people into buying it beforehand.
