By Laboured Go To PostKidA I just watched James Garner vids and now need sedatives. Your thoughts? He's a really good talent. He's what people want McTominay to be in that he's supposed to be a DM, except he can actually pass and has good technique. He's a cunt like Ben Pearson was in regards to defensive work, but also very classy on the ball. Starts for England's u17 side (now u18) unlike our past midfield prospects. I don't agree with the idea that he's Carrick as Ole stated. Carrick, like Matic, were defensive in that they were the last midfielder, but they weren't all that combative like Garner is. Has filled in as a CB a couple of times for our youth teams too.

Interesting. He'd somewhat escaped my attention tbh. Think the distinction between being defensively combative or passive (like Carrick) comes down to the role requirements.
By /sy Go To PostKid A is a great album. I recommend it.
I agree.
By Laboured Go To PostNot gud brother. Why you so static? No idea. Was hopeful that the win against Neverkusen would help a bit, so everyone would get their head free.
Just so many players out of form, not enough team spirit and movement.
Can understand the younger players like Bruun-Larsen having a dip in form, but that even counts for the more experienced players currently.

Your midfield and attack lines were miles apart. There was no connection there and there was just sideways passing. And then your attacking two/three seemed to gather on the opposite side of the pitch to the ball. Weird.

Despite Augsburg trying to press, we didn't take advantage of it and played around them. Just played it back for no reason, passing sideways and generally just slow attacks.
Well, at least we've only got to play on weekends after next week. Might help a bit to work on quite a few things, along with people being more focused. Mistakes happen with that young backline, but not using your chances either is just killing us.
Hopefully Gladbach will help us a bit.
By Scum Go To PostScum I promise I'm not pulling a Juve/RM fan. I'm still a bit iffy on Emery, if he pulls off a win then I'm all in on #Emeryball, especially if he finally broke in Ozil.

Can't believe PSNI Craigavon managed to start a global hoax with this Momo thing, and they aren't backing down either.

As I said the motivation for spurs will be too much , I expect us to match them for about 20 minutes before the start to dominate
It's kinda great that United currently have 9 players injured, and I'm still excited for tonight's match
Morning, lads. Since lolspurs are going to ruin my footballing weekend with a lolspurs performance, I'm going to ruin your weekend before it starts by reminding you all of this -
International Football is back in about two weeks.

I’m missing today’s game in favour of Oxford United v Scunthorpe so who’s the real winner here guys
(my mate works for Scunthorpe and it’s the only time I get to see him don’t @me)

Massive game for Wanyama today, I really fear for him. He’s barely been able to move in his appearances this season, spent most of his time falling over. Hopefully the last few weeks of full training have got him into decent condition. A Wanyama who cannot recover the ball or anticipate danger is just a training cone.
