nobody will care but me, but im quite a bit through Far Cry: New Dawn, and enjoying it as much as I did Far Cry 5. Runs and looks great, plays great, just a very solid open world shooter. Only 40 bucks MSRP too.
I really should hate this but the music, dialogue just screams Metal Gear Solid 1 and I'm intrigued.

First Far Cry I’d played since 2. Happy to skip New Dawn though. Had a good feeling they’d take the series to a post apocalyptic setting since FC5 was throwing off some Fallout vibes, but from what I’ve seen it’s just not the post apocalypse setting I was hoping for/wanted.

Look to what they've been doing with MCC since September for a hint as to what they'll offer with Infinite: regular updates in the form of both monthly content updates and weekly matchmaking refreshes. It's gone much better than their attempt at it with H5.

I mean, they basically admitted the H5 campaign was a failure by focusing on Chief in the trailer and people hated their ugly ass art with a shift back to the classic designs. I think they get it. Fingers crossed for no ADS or Spartan Abilities.

By rvy Go To Postat this point I have no goodwill left for halo sp from 343, so I really do need to see it to believe itI get it. For different reasons, H4 and H5 have lousy campaigns. But Halo Wars 2 has a solid campaign. Perhaps not a coincidence, it is their first story that has nothing to do with the Prometheans or Cortana and instead focuses on a faction of Brutes.
I do think that setting Infinite two years after H5 is the smartest thing they could've done. An immediate follow up to H5, I don't even know what that is. It's Battlestar Galactica, I guess, with Chief and the Arbiter on the run.
Halo Infinite should start at a farm with the Chief and Arbiter married. Cortana comes and drives a wedge through them as she tries to win Chief back.

- Only Nero fights Goliath during the campaign. The scenes from the Game Awards trailer of V fighting Goliath were from Bloody Palace. Itsuno says that you won't refight bosses with other characters during the campaign (presumably with DMC4's infamous backtracking with Dante in mind). By rerixo Go To Postrpg elements in halo are for the best, i don't think it's possible to get people excited over a pure fps campaign nowadaysI think it means that the game is going to have a more ODST-inspired design than it means Halo is following the Destiny path with numbers popping up and Chief finding new armor pieces and guns. 343's new director, Chris Lee, got his start working on ODST, so it would make sense that they'd go back to that style of openness. The Halo is free for you to explore and to tackle these set missions in the order you choose.
