That new Platinum game has good music, and Masazaku Katsura as the artist so yeah, I'll get it.
Agree that Platinum is the most overrated studio though. Vanquish, Nier Automata was great, but the way fans talk about them is like they can't do no wrong.

Different things. Platinum's combat is stylish and rewards you by playing so.
Soulsborne combat is more methodical, and rewards patience plus spamming projectiles at enemies far away.

platinum found a way to make transformers fun and made the last good metal gear game
