I remember I hated how every other game was built using unreal engine last gen. Everything just came out looking so samey unless the art was fire.

I LOVE the look of that game.
lol activision's Game Ops + Product Dev + Sales&Marketing + General Admin costs account for ~$1B in Q3 alone.
If we're being charitable here and assume 50% of it is salaries&pay (it's most likely higher than that), they're paying $2B a year to 9800 employees. That's hilarious.

Good for their employees. Bad for business.
Particularly Blizzard seeing as they account for about 30% of income but almost half of the head count.
Honestly I'm shocked it's taken them this long to restructure
yeah those numbers are hilarously bad. i wasn't even aware that they bloated up to 10k employees. i mean holy shit.
By Poka yoke s y Go To PostIt must really fuck for their employees. They were eating gooddoubtful. they just pay way too many people not enough instead of paying a way smaller amount of people good salaries.

We'll never really know their wage structure, but take something like FB, which is the gold standard for revenue generation on a per employee basis in the software and services world, Activision really lags behind.
FB: 35K employees, $65B in revenues
Activision: 10K employees, $8B in revenues
Better metric would be net income per employee but I'm going to the eye doctor so i'll take a look at it later

I guess everyone is desperate for them to be good so the first 2 weeks is all sunshine and then everyone figures out how shit it is forever after. Just like ff15

Understandable pal. Fire TF2 instead.
With Exodus coming out next week I decided to leave 2033 and Last Light alone for now.
I'm playing Celeste instead. I'm at chapter 3, liking it so far. Decided to follow the game's advice and not obsess over strawberries, though I still go for most of them, because I'm enjoying the challenge. I've a feeling it won't last tho, if the difficulty curve is as steep as I imagine it to be, huehue.

Yipes popping off at the end. 😂😂😂
No lies detected. I'm enjoying the combat, but tbh you have to limit yourself on not using the triangle button so much. That's not good.
Having never played - or even watched - a minute of it, that's exactly how I've always imagine Kingdom Hearts. Only it's somehow even worse.
Played this dmcv demo so many times. Got S rank twice, it seems that the biggest factor is s ranking the boss at the end?

For some reason I have no interest in Divinity's genre even though I'm absolutely loving the game
The slow burn in terms of gradually getting more powerful is so good. Love the summons as well. Do you ever get upgraded spells, or do you just upgrade the skill that is relevant to them? Think I may be spreading myself too thin on spells, I've basically got a mage who does everything, and the other three barely have an elemental skill between them. What's the most efficient way of healing between battles?
20 hours in about 5 play sessions, the hours just fly by. Haven't even left the starting area yet. Hope I'm safe running around battering the Magistars, they're all aggro'd now I've removed the collar

apparently sharpness is on by default, at least on console for division 2
yuuuuuuuk, artificial sharpening smh

The thing about DMC games is that their purpose should be more about the developers stroking their own ego about the inspired art and level design, than they should be about stroking gamers’ egos about combo chains.
It’s ridiculous that enemies are still so disposable in 2019, and that the levels/stages/maps are just fodder for said disposal.
Boss fights in DMC games are always stupidly over the top too. Nobody ever laments the difficulty spikes of suddenly going from mindless hack and slashing to finally having to read enemy moves/patterns (but still be button-mashing all the same).
I guess that’s why From Software really has ruined everything.
