Anthems content amount sounds good to me. Ain't nobody got the time to be dedicating a full 10 hour work like day ala Destiny .

They are fantastic podcast games while you chase a particular gear or weapon.

What Destiny does right is the coop aspect in a PVE world setting, its a fucking blast with m8s. Heck even last week I got sherpa'd through the newest raid Scourge of the past, we had to take down a final boss that was a fucking Metal Gear.
The notion that looter shooters a purely monotonous grinds is a narrative that gets pushed quite hard , not saying there isn't grinding there fucking is but there is so much more at play.
Hopefully Bioware sorts out the technical aspects of Anthem, theres a good game in there, if you can get past the constant load screens.
Don't like that guns are an afterthought in Anthem, and that you're mostly managing skill cooldowns.
That said, when I heard D3 was doing away with basic weapon attacks I was pretty unimpressed but that turned out ok. Do I trust Bioware to compensate for this as well as Blizzard did? Fuck no lol.

i'm normally against what you're referring to, but games that don't let you either 1) have a plethora of abilities 2) give you movement options or present generally dynamic enemies to mix things up or 3) have multiple *viable* custom loadouts that allow for a tailored playstyle - are bad.
I wouldn't really say guns are an afterthought either. Its not BL2 where you shoot a gun that shoots other guns, but there's purpose behind the weapon decisions imo

man all these worlds except frozen have been awesome, so full of life. considering the big sea and underwater locations i'm surprised they put as much effort as they did into port royal.

Anthem demo is alright.
It's got style and the art is nice, graphics are olay but definite issues with framerate and pop-in. Controls need a bit getting used to. Shooting is okay, it's much closer to a Diablo/Warframe than anything even resembling Destiny. Combat is a bit iffy at times because of how far attacking away from the enemy you are, so it's kinda hard to make out what is going on at times. Knowing who's attacking you is a bit tough to tell. Thankfully the HUD can be tweaked, might have to do that. Pathfinding is a bit shit because the icons all kind of blend.. The tower is nice. The puzzle at the end of the Triple Threat mission is pretty bad.
Javalon customization and shader stuff is really good, which is much appreciated after Destiny has completed dropped the ball on that six years running.
I've spent $60 on worse Frostbite games, so I'm gonna give it a go.
