I got too many games on my plate. RDR2, all these VR games I've picked up, wanting to get back into Siege, wanting to replay all the Witcher games immediately. I'm in shambles with all this choice.
This is why you're the broken clock of Slaent. You're wrong on most things, but once a day you absolutely nail it.
By /sy Go To Poston one hand, monster hunter has been primarily/famously a coop series for a long time
on the other hand, it's made by japanese developers.

Thanks for the info on MHW, about what I expected. I was hoping they've improved on the coop aspect since release, but I guess not.
Not sure what to coop next. Borderlands 3 is always an option, but I'm really, really not feeling it. Wish Dying Light 2 was out already.

I feel that.
i mean you can easily co-op the entire game of mhw which is what I did
but that part where you gotta wait for the host's cutscenes to play before joining, bleh

It's remarkable how poorly thought out it's party implementation is. Never had any connection issues or anything though
I’d seen some mentions of Boneworks being like an unofficial Half Life game, or even called the “Half Life of VR” before I picked it up. Gotta say, it ain’t. It is very good, purely on a gameplay level, and purely in terms of the guns and shooting in general. It has me feeling a bit conflicted though. I like the game, I enjoy playing it and popping some cyber zombies and headset-crabs, but it feels lacking in so many other areas considering what is being heralded as.
There is absolutely zero charm to any part of the art design, “characters” or writing. Absolutely nilch.
Even the physics, as impressive as they are for the most part, they go to shit as soon as something bugs out. Sledgehammers stuck in doors, enemies stuck in my arms, etc. The games main selling points are GUNS and PHYSICS, so when one of those fucks up it’s kinda shit to be honest.
The checkpoints are dog shit too. You can spend half an hour or so in a level, but if you don’t finish that level before quitting your session it’s right back to the start next time you play. Bad game design.
Despite its flaws though, it’s probably the game I’ve spent the most time in since getting the Rift S. I fully intend to finish it, purely because shooting stuff in VR is really fun. There’s definitely a lot of untapped potential to it. I can only hope that the equivalent of Black gets made for VR because that would be fucking phenomenal.

got mk 11
it's pretty great, awesome productions values and story mode, but it's also way too much because of the realistic graphics.
why do you need fatalities AND fatal blows? pick one. because the fatal blows alone are so over the top and graphic that a fatality on top of that is just insanity. It's already weird accepting that the character can just dust it off after a fatal blow cutscene plays out. maybe I'm too old.
they did my boys scorpion and sub-zero right, love their new costumes.
also looks like they fixed a lot of issues with animations from what I played. it's not on that japan level, but it's definitely better than 9 and 10.

By Zabojnik Go To PostHow is the coop in Monster Hunter World? Like, is it functional and well-executed or more like an afterthought?Very slightly better than co-op in every other MH game. It is the same as all the others with the exception of being able to fire up an SOS flare which allows any player in the world to join your quest on the fly, instead of just those in your session/room.

By Wahabipapangus Go To PostThe monthly cover is Greta. The special edition that has the Games of the Decade is Disco, but it's apparently only the digital edition.I already knew a From game would be on the list but the question was which one

By domino Go To PostIs the Switch Marvel Ultimate Alliance any good?not really but i played it a lot and liked it.
im on the fence with that too

Switch Lite is available for €220. I have an Xbox One X, but would be nice to have something when the TV is occupied. Those Nintendo prices on games though....
By domino Go To PostIs the Switch Marvel Ultimate Alliance any good?Me and the gf play it every now and again. It's mindless fun with the option to grind your life away for more power. Occasional fps drops, some characters clearly better/worse than others, poor text readability when going through your inventory. Wouldn't recommend at full price.
Does support local co-op on the same Switch. Wireless local co-op (i.e. two Switches) is a bit of a hassle to setup. It also supports online play (haven't tried this, yet).
ah i'll have to venture out into the world and find it on sale. its still $60 on the nintendo store i think
Finally got round to trying VR for the first time ever and on PSVR at that and whew. Happy my eyes are ok with it. Very impressive. Will be punching my wife’s face in on Beat Saber soon.

I don’t know how to appropriately react to this.

There’s a cuckold joke to make about this but I will not stoop that low.

Nextgen around the corner and the HDMI 2.1 standard is still relatively early in, so I would personally wait until 2021 or at least see what 2021 models offer.
By Auto Simeone Go To PostInfinite Warfare is bigger than that and its a last gen gameVii remake part 1 isn't a next gen game tho
