Speaking of Humble, got some games saved up that I’m not interested in so I’ll be doing a Christmas giveaway if anybody is interested?

Haven’t put much thought into it. I usually just post the list of games and go on first come first serve for anyone that wants the key.
Maybe a drawing contest this year. Anyone that draws a post from Sy’s shit food thread gets a key (in MS Paint obvs).
Oi Zabo, how did you keep your Cyclops powered up? Power cell charger in your base and fill the locker in the Cyclops with them? I need to use it just as a Prawn delivery vehicle, my base is nowhere near any useful deposits.
Need a material I've not seen yet now to finish off the Neptune rocket, no idea how to go about finding it.

I remember the Cyclops lasting a long time even on just one set of power cells, was never much of a problem once you install the Engine Efficiency Module.

Which material?
Think its called kyanite
I've only taken the Cyclops for a spin once so far, to get it from my vehicle module to my base, and the engine set on fire 😔
Built the automatic fire prevention system

How far down did you go? Have you made it to the lava zone yet? That's where you'll find kyanite, if I remember correctly. Check the wiki.
Just don't push the Cyclops's engines too much and you'll be fine. It's essential for getting way down there and deploying the prawn.

By Flutter Go To PostIs Hades that good?I've only played it for a few hours, but I really don't think so. The hook is very interesting tho. It's kind of the first rogue like that rewards you with good lore and characters every run, and they do that part very well (if you like the modernized mythological setting I guess) and the combat is not as esoteric as something as Pyre, but people described it as a mix of Furi and Dead Cells and I haven't found it as accomplished as either tbh. Reviews on Steam are ravishing tho, it's I think one of the top 10 best reviewed games on the platform already, so maybe once you unlock all the things the combat picks up a lot more or the enemies get more interesting IDK.
The thing is, I didn't think the combat was that good in Transistor or Bastion either. Pyre being incredibly weak was just more concerning imo.
I'm really uncertain about reviews for that studio's games because they're almost untouchable at release. I'm sure it'll be gorgeous in motion and every character will pop. Outside of that? Who knows.
I'm hoping someone will get on Twitch and play it for me soon.

I hate to say it but I'm liking The Outer Worlds. It's scratching that Fallout: NV niche with some updated mechanics and the same amount of CTDs all in a very nice Art Nouveau retro-futurism package.

How heavy is the micro management stuff particularly finances?
Was thinking of getting it for my wife.

She absolutely loves zoos and animals generally, and she likes video games. But if it's massively complicated I don't think she'd get into it.
By HasphatsAnts Go To Postthere's no music in the game!Fallout is insufferable without mods that add more radio songs.

Did you play Disco Elysium prior to TOW? I feel like I would’ve enjoyed TOW a lot more than I did if DE didn’t already scratch my Fallout itch and absolutely nail the dialogue and questing. It set a very high bar for me.

By Laboured Go To PostHow heavy is the micro management stuff particularly finances?Finances isn't too bad. It seems like you can play it on a pretty shallow micro level and still have fun but if you REALLY want to dig deep you can dig really, really deep.

By Laboured Go To PostHow heavy is the micro management stuff particularly finances? The career mode takes some micro managing but there is a sandbox mode that means you can do anything...

There are still some bugs but the last patch really cleared up a lot of it, as far as I can tell from my last session it...
Having fun with it..

I feel like I would’ve enjoyed TOW a lot more than I did if DE didn’t already scratch my Fallout itch and absolutely nail the dialogue and questing. It set a very high bar for me.Oh I get that. I only played an hour of Disco to get the lay of the land. I'll dive in some other time. It seemed like there is way more depth to conversations and its skill check system and how to approach and solve quests in a multitude of ways.
TOW on the other hand is way more fetch questy and I've dumped most in my points in Charisma so there's no real challenge to speech checks. There's often three ways to get the same result and I meet all the requirements anyway: persuade, lie, and intimidate. Do I want to be a dick to this character is the only thing I need to consider. It's easy, it's fun. Side quests have been predictable so I Hope the main quest will surprise me. Pun intended.
Impressions on VR/the Rift S has been really positive so far despite not having a lot of space for it. Played Gorn, Beat Saber, Boneworks and H3VR so far. All worked well just standing up with it, apart from Gorn, I feel like that really needs space to play just to save breaking shit.
Best Saber is a highlight so far, really fun. It’s a very Wii like experience.
Boneworks has been good so far, again a game I’d like to have more space to play but works well enough with smooth locomotion and turning. Not too far past the tutorial section though, spent a lot time just in the shooting range. Like how it all handles.
H3VR I’ve not had much time with, it’s basically just a shooting range though and for that I’m happy with it.
Gorn is really fun, really easy to get lost in and accidentally fuck up the entire room. Has really lived up to my expectations.
Still got Superhot VR to try out, loved the original release so I’m sure the VR version will be good shit. Not sure what else to get yet, kinda want to get LA Noire, Fallout 4 and Skyrim but not sure if they’ll be worthwhile buys for me yet.
