Was so annoyed with Starhawk. They went with a luscious aesthetic in Warhawk to a brown and drabby world in Starhawk. Even the trees....
It's amazing how for most maps the color blue didn't exist at all, You could go on Warhawk maps (especially DLC ones) and stuff looked nice....

Genuinely the best thing MS have done in years and I don't say that as a set up to some punch line.
I mean, that's not breaking news. It was obvious, or at least should be based on the parts they now use for consoles.

It would be the dumbest shit not to have bc after microsoft paved the way with 4k updates and good shit for 360 games

Indeed, Nintendo still doesn't know how to make a decent online system even after dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox 1 and 30 years of pc online gaming

Tbf that was due to some pretty hefty patent litigation that they didn't fancy conceding at the time.
IN BETA We're working on shipping this to the Steam Client and making it available in the Steamworks SDK right now. If you want early access, we have a standalone version of the library you can link with. You can also try out the opensource version.
-String encryption and authentication. When a player connects, you can be sure that if a certain SteamID is authenticated, that someone who has access to that person's account has authorized the connection. Eavesdropping / tampering requires hacking into the VAC-secured process. Impersonation requires access to the target's computer.
-Supports relayed connections through the Valve network. This prevents IP addresses from being revealed, protecting your players and gameservers from attack. NAT punching is not attempted.
-Also supports standard connectivity over plain UDP using IPv4 or IPv6.
-To participate in Valve's dedicated server hosting program, use of this API is required. (This program is in beta – contact us if you'd like to participate.)

Valve-hosted dedicated servers for devs (unconfirmed if free) and free VAC and IP protection systems.

Crackdown 3 previews go up tomorrow. All games start their press cycle two weeks from launch, right?

By blackace Go To Postalready in denialnot at all, the first game is probably my favorite 360 game all things considered
I even bothered to get all the cheevos
the 2nd one was alright
if 3 is a crackdown game, I'll definitely enjoy it
it looks like it will be a crackdown game, but I'll reserve judgement
I am really enjoying Just In Time Incorporated. The diffent scenarios and blocky graphics are funny as hell.
Second tutorial mission has you stopping a very orange president from getting shot by a hippie.
Played only a bit of the other 3 VR titles I bought.
Farpoint has a really boring start but as soon as it takes a long time to find any enemies but the shooting with the Aim is so satisfying.
To The Top takes a bit to used to but when you pick some momentum it truly shines.
Ultrawings VR is a VR version of Pilotwings. Basic graphics but the flying made my stomach turn a few times.

RE PS5 Back Compat from one of the Digital Foundry guys
But will it be any good? Or better yet, will it only be in the early consoles and not later revisions like they did with the PS3.
Will it be via charging customers to download PS3/4 games wrapped in an emulator?
Or will it be done properly and let you put in your old discs and/or redownload digital games on to the PS5 via the store.
I don’t have the highest of hopes.

the last thing worth playing on pc was a freespace 2...

I still hope the game bombs, just like how I want every single game which gets an exclusivity deal on the Epic store to bomb. I do not believe that any of the practices Epic support to be worth rewarding, and I definitely do not consider Deep Silver's decision to take the money worth rewarding either. I can put my money elsewhere, to a developer or publisher actually seemingly doing something good at the time (or hell, maybe I could just donate the money to a FOSS project, because why not I've done it many times in the past). I'll still be helping those ones, and some of them really could need it too.
lmao

Kingdom Hearts installed. Now to wait until after work... Or tomorrow I just don't get too exhausted.
Finished Subnautica with 35h. Sensational experience.
Subnautica: Below Zero already bought, even though it'll probably be years before I play it. These lads deserve it.
RE2 time.

RE2 not out on distros yet? Unacceptable.
Anybody ever heard / bought something from eneba.com? RE2 is 30€ there, cheapest I could find it for with a quick search.
