Fates was peak waifu. Its still in FE but like... its not an integral foundation of the game's development like Fates.

Blue Lions cause of Chelsea. Easily the best characters. Outside the teachers every other character I have recruited has basically been a wanker

But all those Britsh studios (codies/sms/evolution/etc) borrow personal from eachother, so to speak. Think it is a smart move, because both were almost living on borrowed time from game to game the last 10 years. And they do have specifiek qualities that the other lacks, so curious to see what they come up with.

I'm not sure if I like or dislike the fact that Capcom seemingly made no effort whatsoever to make the Leon and Claire scenarios make sense as overlapping stories.

It wasn't. The OG RE2 hid it's hand better. Claire and Leon actually interacted more. That said, the zapping system is kinda overhyped, tbh. The story is still a large mess. Shit didn't change, nearly as much as people like to pretend that it did.

Finished Crash 1. There's a couple real issues I had with some deceptive hitboxes that killed me, but I still really enjoyed it. Most I've enjoyed a platformer since 3D Land.
Sonic Mania is killing me on the other hand. Looks nice, sounds nice, but damn the Sonic formula of randomly stopping you all the time sucks.

The zapping system helped tie in a lot and helped stuff make sense in that you knew what the other person was doing, but it went beyond simple interaction. Sonic Mania might be the most visually appealing 2d game I've ever played. Half the levels look like tumblr pixel art posts.
I'd love to see a Rocket Knight or TMNT has this amount of detail in a 2d environment.

Sonic Mania is incredible. Hopefully for the sequel the devs get to create more original levels because the ones that are there are incredible.
