By Flutter Go To PostDespite my criticism on DMCV, the gameplay really is good enough to make most of it enjoyable.I could see them refreshing some of the environment art for the latter 3rd of the missions and making tons of QoL changes for the special edition.
CIG just turned off all of the 40 computers AMD donated to quell attendance "issues"
They have 5 CIG employees guarding the "Theater of War" demo room right now and turned all of the computers off because there was a queue of people lining up to play the game instead of watching the keynote presentation for Seans bit and the BORING alien language bit.
They are scrambling to make sure the attendance looks packed on the live stream because they have nothing else to show.
Shame. I really do not believe they would have the audacity to turn off the one interesting thing at the show today.
Imagine how AMD and Corsair feel about donating 40 top end computers which are not going to be used for the entirety of the expo.
Oh and the excuse they gave was that they only were allowing a limited amount of people to test the Theater of war.
There was less than a dozen during the presentations fwiw. You could see it during the Q&A sessions.
Also buggy keynote demo and I'm staying up to see if they manage to sort it out at the end. They've shown a mission with the first part played during the keynote and the second in an hour or so.

The biggest failing regarding level design would be the visuals for the hell tree missions. From like mission 13 through mission 18, the environment art just gets really boring. Before that? I loved the city, sewers, libraries train station, Ruins etc, seemed like they ran out of time and had to bash a lot of assets together near the end.
despite it initially feeling like a souls game, nioh's much better if you approach it a la diablo and think about builds that can make your character stupidly op and subsequently break the game

I mean really, they are already behind schedule with Squadron 42 delayed yet again, and they just announced Theatre of War mode.
It's 4.30am, but this is like watching a car crash. I can't take my eyes off of it... although I did mute most of it.
I'll try to keep an open mind at the ending keynote and see if they show anything impressive, but my expectations are so low that I think I'll be impressed as long as they get through it with only minor bugs.

Honestly tho, you get enough ammo to kill every enemy in the game and a headshot (forehead) will stagger zombies. Run Leon, to see if you can deal with it tho. Claire is super OD, but one of his handguns has a higher Crit chance and his Shotty can ohko a zombie, if you're close enough (and aim well). His flamethrower hits like the pc version's knife, iirc (might be half wrong on that).
