like we can trust people with VR headsets.
By Laboured Go To PostNo lightbar. Thank God.
Really sad to see them sticking with a dual analogue set up. I firmly believe the right stick should be ditched entirely for a track pad with haptic feedback like the steam controller.

fuck man, can we get some goddamned paddles?
By Laboured Go To PostNo lightbar. Thank God.Shame,
now its just like every other basic bitch controller on the market.
No lightbar means that it probably won't be compatible with some PS4 VR games like Astro Bot for example.
By Kawhic Go To Postthe battery killer was the touchpad not the LED.Why were either of them potential battery killers when the Steam Controller can run for like a month with two AA batteries and it has two giant haptic-feedback touchpads?
I always thought it was the bluetooth or whatever wireless tech the controller used that caused the fast battery drain.
By Flutter Go To PostThe Dual Shock 4 has a 1000mAh battery.Switch Pro only has 1300maH and lasts 10x as long.

The Astro C40 appears to be the premiere PS controller. At least you can change the layout of the analog sticks. Good thing it will be forward compatible with PS5...oh wait
Sony am trash

i thought i read a breakdown of someone who measured it but i'm not finding it anymore. it's probably a poorly optimised controller all around with the light, touchpad, speaker and rumble.
Destiny 2 at upscaled 1080p, RDR2 at 1440p/30fps. Looks shite during snowstorms too (as exoected)

By Laboured Go To PostNot clear on why they felt the need to rush to market with this. You mean Google, the company staffed by overconfident dumbasses that think they're smart enough to solve anything?
By Flutter Go To Postconsole beats pc yet again
Yeah but not even dumb people look at that performance and IQ and says "We've cracked it lads". Likewise they're rich enough they can risk not jumping in so early.
Least they could do is use their money to heavily subsidise the service and game prices (unless they're doing that already in which case lmfao).

Weren't there a bunch of game devs talking about how Stadia was going to be a real threat and the future of game consoles
kind of like how we were told VR was going to take over gaming

Image compression completely fails as soon as you have many moving parts like snow. Not surprising. Stadia and streaming will be good in the future but there's no market for it yet.

There's no infrastructure for it yet.
By Laboured Go To PostThat's just RDR2 standard performance
