nor the metroidvania ones, the game's rewards for exploration are trash and cheap xp to upgrade a boring/poorly designed combat system isn't enticing enough to bother with it.

Agree with rvy. I'm watching a stream of JFO and I dont understand the level design choices. He's currently trying to wall jump, grab onto a vine, and then wall jump, grab into another vine to get to a next area.

if you've failed at that, and the character feels bad to control on top of that, you're going down a path of inedible jank.
also lol at the size of the stamina/lightsaber info bar jfo. I mean, how much smaller could they have made it? you can barely see them as it is, games that rely heavily on bars need to have them properly visible, this isn't a weird concept to grasp.

I don't think I could ever replay odyssey. I definitely enjoyed my time with it but the lack of any difficulty and the unskippable cutscene that plays every time you pick up one of the 900 stars soured me on it.
That food and the city world was ace though. Solid 7/10. Same as BOTW.
