By rodeoclown Go To PostThe port is actually kinda ehh. The kbm controls don't feel awesome and they've had a lot of issues with the game running at higher than 60 fps. They literally patched the beta last night to try and get the controls to feel better, so it's probably not even releasing this year.If they can't get a 10 year old game to run properly on pc, I don't have a lot of hope for Infinite.
By Lupercal Go To PostIf they can't get a 10 year old game to run properly on pc, I don't have a lot of hope for Infinite.I don't think they're related. 343 isn't doing the port themselves, that's on Ruffian and Splash Damage.
Really, it's unfathomable to me that they announced this so early and then promised all the games would be out by the end of the year. That's obviously not happening and they've been weirdly quiet about the Xbox version of Reach, too.
it's Pokemon, last time I checked it's turn based when you're fighting so does it really matter if the performance is crap lol..
Can’t believe the Pokémon game folks have been dreaming for turned out to be a quarter assed piece of shit.
By domino Go To PostCan’t believe the Pokémon game folks have been dreaming for turned out to be a quarter assed piece of shit.people keep buying the shit gamefreak and the pokeyman company feeds them
this game will still sell millions regardless of cut content or underdeveloped cities/trash technology
plus they have a long history of not patching/improving their games after release, don't expect this to be different. they're not gonna have siege turnaround here, what's shipped is what ends up being the game. buy the next version pretty much

Again, it's not just frame rate drops, as I said. Wouldn't care much (and honestly dont care much now, I am not a big pokemon fan). But the frame rate is tied to the games logic, as in, it slows the whole game down when frames are dropped. Like it activates a fucking slow motion mode. Yeah, that is pretty fucking annoying if trying to play the game.
On top of that, the draw distance is laughably bad. Is that part important? Not really, but it makes it all look and feel a bit shit.
lol

By Hitch Go To PostHas Pokémon become FIFA/WWEit always was
By Hitch Go To PostHas Pokémon become FIFA/WWEThat's probably the reason for some of the problems. They had to develop the game and release it by the end of 2019.
Draw distance being laughably bad is putting it mildly. This is N64 level of terrible. I have hope that there would be a patch soon, and at least I haven't pre ordered it yet.

Well, read some reviews. Obviously it's not a great game, but at least a fun one, albeit one that's easier than past Pokemon.

This is why they get away with it smh
By rodeoclown Go To PostEven easier than it's been? Because the series has been ridiculously easy since X/Y.the series has been incredibly easy since forever. i beat my first pokemon before i could read (it actually helped me to learn). these are games for all ages, quite literally.

By Kawhic Go To Postthe series has been incredibly easy since forever. i beat my first pokemon before i could read (it actually helped me to learn). these are games for all ages, quite literally.I actually think the DS games provide a fair bit of challenge, HGSS especially. The Exp Share changed the game, though. In XY and ORAS, your party is constantly 10 levels ahead of the trainers and gym leaders and it's a complete cake walk.
I might buy the game if they patch it, at least the framerate and the fucking pop-ins
but I doubt that, unfortunately.
but I doubt that, unfortunately.

By Kawhic Go To Postprobably not but i recently played let's go again and i thought it performed better than i remembered at launch.I'll check by christmas if the game has been improved with patches. Fuck, I was really looking forward to a home console pokeyman that does not suck ass, like XD and whatever the other one was. I still got astral chain to look forward to I guess.

nintendo has no say in the development of the mainline pokemon games.
By Daz Go To PostLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLyeah... that has been his attack. It looks stupid and blows my mind that they aren't updating how it looks.
Has to be fake
Thankfully it looks like other attacks look alright. Some Pokemons are weirdly static and shit looking though. There was one that looked like it was animated by an intern.
