I remember in the 5(!!) hours I played of it, it seemed pretty complex

announced like 6 months ago.

The UI is missing half of the information the PC UI has, looks like it's based on the pre-Le Guin patch UI setup that only shows Energy, Minerals, Food, influence, Unity and all 3 science branches separately. Gets me wondering if it's based on the old version of the game rather than the current, as it's missing some information that new version on PC displays. That would be pretty wanky considering how much has changed since the last DLC.

Don't know how the consoles will handle the full experience on their garbage CPUs. The engine the PC game runs on chugs to fuck mid to late game on the fastest settings even on the most intense CPUs.

Guessing it won't have mod support either. Nobody plays vanilla Stellaris on PC. Mods are too stronk when it comes to expanding or improving the game further.

[Edit} Console version of the game is Utopia, so it's missing 4 major content expansions, 3 of those are at least 18 months old on PC lmao miss me with that shit. No reason why it can't be the full current game.

for extra shitiness, the game only has all the content up to Utopia, so no Apocalyse, Synthetic Dawn, Distant Stars or Megacorp. Console version of the game is actually 2 years behind the current state of the PC version lol.

claire and leon's scenarios happen simultaneously. in og re2 there were 2 combinations--claire a, leon b; leon a: claire b. the a scenario has william birkin as the main bad guy whereas the b scenario has mr. x. b scenario was a lot more boss heavy and you have to fight tougher enemies.

You play through with one character, and you see the other character doing stuff in other areas on your playthrough. Once finished you have an opportunity to do a second run with the other character, which changes things up (puzzles, enemies, bosses, routes and even side characters) and you also get the true ending upon completing the second run.

Gyro+Io partially ruined TI last year. Every fucking match. Still have no idea why Chen is ever picked. Even if he gets his lanes won quickly in theory, I never saw it actually happen. Must have like a 95% loss rate in matches I've played, but obviously that is basically irrelevant to the way he's used ont he pro curcuit.

edit: what a shit match. There was about 10 seconds where it looked like Vici might not win.

Chen can give you a speed buff, can heal, and control creeps to ward, attack buildings or heroes. He's a hard position 5.

Last year's meta was alright I think, made even better with OG destroying the conception of what the meta is all about.

Each character has a 1st run and a 2nd run.

The reviewer just played the 1st run of each character which are almost identical.

You're meant to do 1st run with say Leon then do 2nd run with Claire.

2nd run is completely new stuff?

No, but it's a different route taking things in a different order with different enemy placements and different puzzles / item locations.

An example: In the first run you will go into RPD through the front door and the main hall will be your safe hub. You won't ecnounter Mr X for a while.

In the second run you will enter RPD through the back door and the main hall will be full of zombos. Mr X attacks you pretty early on too.
You don't get the true ending until after the 2nd run.
