By HasphatsAnts Go To PostI've been addicted to Stellaris lately. Send help pls
Held off playing recently because they destroyed the performance with last patch. Months were taking nearly a minute to pass mid game. At least the beta patch is improving things

Ace Combat 7 has been pretty good so far. Challenging missions, awesome graphics and great sound design. One particular problem people are having is that you really need to watch the mission briefings and in-game chatter because they clue you in on what you need to be focusing on in the missions. I don't see it as a problem, more as a plus but I've seen people complaining about it.
Story has been.... ok? Your character doesn't talk but he is integral to what happens in the story. I have an appreciation for the CG scenes too. It's easy to see that they have very limited budget on doing it so they got around it by having most of the scenes to be shown with a voice-over and simple symbolism. Hell, you could count the amount of times you get to see dialogues spoken by the characters instead of it being done over insert shots.
MGS with planes sounds about right.

New mode announced as free post-launch DLC.
A new game mode where you can play as multiple characters, it'll be a mode with randomized elements, an in-game shop (not micro transactions, earn points in-game by performing well), and should be very replayable. Likely to have a randomiser too.
Will it come out soon or be advertised as 3 months out but get delayed a year like the free DLC for RE7?
To think that 95% of all this bonus material will be completely lost on me. One playthrough, done with it.

as always.
like i'm booting the game up in 2 months to get a dumb costume.
maybe those improved ps1 assets will make capcom realize that the new classic costume for claire is fucked up
maybe they forgot she wore a black shirt and black shorts in the original
tragic oversight

Not given.
It's being released in three separate volumes. Adding more content each time. Will include new enemies too.

Is it not all resource scavenging and procedural type stuff?

terrifying
By Laboured Go To PostIs it not all resource scavenging and procedural type stuff?Kind of, but it has a lot of well-timed story bits (logs, various events) mixed in to keep you engaged on different fronts.
I'm about 5 hours in and I just started discovering blueprints for building bigger, more complex stuff (habitat parts and rooms, vehicles, advanced tools ...). Everything is just so well thought-out and connected. And the underwater world is fascinating. And scary. Can't wait to dive deeper.
Doesn't give me procedural vibes at all.
By Kibner Go To PostYeah, I believe it is a static map that is the same on each play through.Yeah.
It's like if No Man's Sky was condensed into a single non-procedurally crafted world and had a story / purpose. It's got me by the pelotas.

You know you're playing a good Resident Evil game when you need to keep a pen and a piece of scrap paper close at hand. Sitting on the first open page of my notepad, in a frantic scrawl, are rudimentary diagrams with numbers sticking out at odd angles, repeating three letter codes, bizarre rune patterns, abbreviated riddles, safe-cracking combinations, random running tallies, and then sometimes just the odd word, number or phrase followed with a bemused question mark. Lion statue? Stained glass? Locker room? Keypad? This is the frenzied, stream of consciousness-style note-taking of someone deep down a Resident Evil rabbit hole. As an old-school Resident Evil fan, I couldn't be happier.
