It looks incredible but the movement seems so much slower than Doom 2016. Hope it's just the person playing it being a thicko and that they haven't actually slowed things down in favour of the strafe-dodge and grapple.

I really thought "Into The Breach" was going to be sweet, on normal. My first playthrough went up in flames...early. Lmao

id play on easy until you unlock a few more squads--couldn't reliably take normal until i got blitzkrieg and the flame behemoths
Let me tell you about Abe Welch. He's a hired goon who is now in a hospital. I put him there, after performing a melee takedown on him in Camden Market during a mission in Watch Dogs Legion. It was at this point I decided to save him to my collection of tracked people in the game. A menu screen tells me he hates Dedsec, no surprise after I knocked him out. But, having hacked into the hospital, I can now prioritise his care, which will begin to change his mind on Dedsec. From there, I can help him with the other troubles in his life, like his sister who's being harassed. Eventually, I will have the chance to win Abe Welch to my cause. If all goes well, he'll have gone from being a random enemy goon to my new playable character.
releasing Doom 2016 on iOS as a streaming game instead of just making a native version is kinda a slap in the face
finally, thanks cavalo
I guess this is what they do now, put cgi on stage and get youtubers the gameplay footbage

By Smokey Go To PostE3 is going to officially die within the next 5 yearsIs it even necessary anymore when all the platform holders are selling you games digitally and have their own direct-to-consumer shows to give you new trailers, etc? They don't need E3.
By JesalR Go To PostE3 will become PAX, but worse, because it's hard to shift a trade show down into a fan experienceMaybe it will go back into being an actual trade show instead of a commercial.

How many years has it been since people start to say that E3 is dying? Before Nintendo came up with Nintendo Direct right?
https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2019/06/10/e3-2019-whats-next-xbox-backward-compatibility/
Since the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program was announced at E3 2015, over half of all Xbox gamers have enjoyed Original Xbox or Xbox 360 games on Xbox One. During that time, the Backward Compatibility catalog we built directly from fan feedback has grown to over 600 titles including entire iconic franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Gears of War, and Mass Effect.
Four years later, compatibility remains a priority for Xbox, for our community and for developers and their games, and preserving the art form of video games is part of our DNA. After adding more than 600 titles to the Backward Compatibility catalog, we’re now setting our sights on what’s next for the future of compatibility.
We’ve listened closely to community feedback and respect the game libraries you’ve built throughout the last 18 years. That’s why we’re taking our work a step further and announced this week that thousands of games from all four generations will be playable on Project Scarlett. As such, we have now shifted our focus to help make the games you love playing on Xbox One compatible with future Xbox hardware. After this week, we have no plans to add additional Original Xbox or Xbox 360 titles to the catalog on Xbox One, but we’re excited to continue our work on Xbox compatibility across platforms and devices, which remains a top priority.
Today, we’re thrilled to bring you a final collection of Original Xbox classics, Xbox 360 fan-favorites and Xbox One X Enhanced updates as a token of appreciation to our fans for their support.
New Original Xbox Games Announced Today
Today, another long-awaited wave of Original Xbox games are playable on Xbox One:
Armed and Dangerous
Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent
Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict
All of these Original Xbox classics take advantage of the power of Xbox One with up to 4x the pixel count on Xbox One and Xbox One S, and up to 16x the pixel count on Xbox One X for resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD. These games are available to play now on disc and you can purchase digitally in the Microsoft Store later this week.
With the addition of the four Tom Clancy Splinter Cell games from the Original Xbox, you can now play the entire Splinter Cell franchise on Xbox One.

By Flutter Go To PostHow many years has it been since people start to say that E3 is dying? Before Nintendo came up with Nintendo Direct right? This year's E3 is shite because Sony isn't there. You hear me, Flutter! If Sony had shown up, it would have been the greatest thing ever!
E3's format in this day and age is just crap. It's needs more Treehouse.
I actually started asura's wrath a couple of week back on 360, guess I can finally put that down and play it on X
thanks phil

By blackace Go To PostMight need to rebrand and retool E3They need to. I'd scrap these conferences, myself.
By Uncle Dennis Go To PostI like how they just make dlc free for old gamesMicrosoft's complete 180 since 2013 has been great to see unfold.
damn
xbox is actually #4theplayers
Game pass has won me over, Sony are dead to me.

to the BC squad
The shit they pulled off was pure tech wizardry
By Not Go To PostYou think trade shows in general are done for?Nah. Unless years like this will continue over the next two years. You just felt that nextgen is around the corner.
By Uncle Dennis Go To Posthttps://news.xbox.com/en-us/2019/06/10/e3-2019-whats-next-xbox-backward-compatibility/Shame they're stopping it for now, but hopefully they will work on more additions on the next gen console.
By Uncle Dennis Go To Postyoshida sweatingWrong department.
bullying cerny into figuring out how to make PS5 BC with PS2 and PS3
PS2 shouldn't even be a problem. Their trophy fuckery along other things surely kept devs from using the emulator more.
By Pennywise Go To PostShame they're stopping it for now, but hopefully they will work on more additions on the next gen console.
In the video I posted, they're stopping to put work into making sure X1 games work seamlessly with Scarlet.
By Uncle Dennis Go To Postyoshida sweatingRemember when Jim Ryan asked why anybody would want backward compatibility. I remember.
bullying cerny into figuring out how to make PS5 BC with PS2 and PS3
But I seriously don't expect them to have back compat beyond PS4. They'll sell you old games again or make you use PS Now.
The BC squad were able to get 2 different generations of hardware with different architectures, GPU manufactures, etc to run on one box, and significantly upgrade game performance, all through a software emulator.
PS3 might be a problem but Sony probably doesn't have the talent that Microsoft does to pull off something like that. You have to remember these are the people who can't guarantee you won't lose your purchases if you simply change your name on their service.
So instead you'll take PS NOW and like it

why is this shit in 1080p in 2019. It looks awful thanks to YT.
By Uncle Dennis Go To PostPS3 will be a problem
that shit was trash
Given how far along RPCS3 has come along, if Sony can't beat their progress with all the resources behind them then it'd be a fucking disgrace.

Microsoft cares more about their legacy as a platform holder than anybody else.
Now get MechAssault working for Scarlett launch, cowards.
Just hit me that Unreal Championship 2 is on the list today. Really curious how that looks. I remember it looking really good back when it launched and being kind of dope too.
