So I guess Stadia's offer is more or less what everyone (sane of mind) expected.
I'm most definitely not paying 10€ for another monthly subscription, but I can see myself using the basic version from time to time. Buy a cheapo / old game on occasion for those extremely rare instances in which I'll find myself gaming away from home. Maybe at work.

Transcribed from some screenshots a friend sent me:
Google Chromecast Ultra required to play on TV. 4K, 60 FPS, HDR and 5.1 surround sound only available to Stadia Pro subscribers. Non-subscribers may experience up to 1080p and 60 FPS.
Stadia is not available in Hawaii.
Stadia Controller requires a WiFi network and a mobile device running Android 6.0, Marshmallow or later, or iOS 11 or later.
More people having the Chromecast the better lol
maybe that'll force amazon to provide native support

Will have a Giga fiber connection next year so if I'm perfectly honest, Stadia looks pretty good.
What's the upside on an Xbox/Ps5 where you spend big on hardware and then you still spend on a monthly sub to play online?

e: also, more stable and likely better image quality
By Zabojnik Go To PostObsidian being bought by MS kind of proved that only a small subset of nerds actually care about CRPGs despite all the 'social media campaigns.'
I'm wondering why would someone who has access to all the things need to play a Stadia game in 4K (so price is not really a factor) would choose that console since it would give a worse overall experience.
That Darksiders thing looks more Gauntlet than Diablo to me from the teaser. Is there loot and leveling? Also it looks like a phone game
F2P for Destiny huh I knew something was up when I saw the overhaul of Eververse. It's like a catalogue now to buy shit with silver (which you purchase with real monies) before it was just like 7 random things to get with dust and bundles of shit with silver.
Cross save was something they should have had from the jump but Sony are fucking dumbshits.
Steam for access kind of blows.

Stadia gonna be dead in 5 years

I really enjoy bashing rats head in with a flail in Vemrintide. Unlocked Zealot and I don't see me switching off it.

If you mean 'old school CRPGs teleported to the modern era', then sure. But I reckon there's still enough of us for the genre to prosper going forward. Most of the projects / games in this category have minuscule budgets compared to their AA(A) counterparts, so there's less risk involved.
Larian are in the perfect spot to tackle BG3. They'll have (had?) to grow their studio by a factor of three as per Vincke's words and I've a feeling they'll try to move slightly away from the Divinity formula. Both because that sub-genre could do with some innovation and because they'll likely try to appeal to a somewhat wider audience. Which is fine by me, as I've kind of had my fill of BG2-style games over the past couple of years.
By Zabojnik Go To PostNot everything has to be for everybody, innit.I'm saying that I don't think you should spend the money on the D&D and Baldur's Gate license for that market. I think they'd be down for something similar but new. A big name like Baldur's Gate feels like them trying to treat this like it's a big deal.

A big name like Baldur's Gate feels like them trying to treat this like it's a big deal. But that is precisely the BG market. Always has been. And it is a big deal, certainly for them. Divinity 2 must be somewhere between 1-2M copies sold on PC and console combined. A name like BG + D&D license could well see them sell twice that, if the game is ambitious enough.
The alternative is to sell Baldur's Gate rights to Bethesda and have them Skyrim it. Which nobody wants. Well, certainly not me.

I'll be curious to see their future output since Microsoft gives their studios a lot of freedom. Let Josh Sawyer make his weird tactics game, you cowards.

Destiny 2 cross-save is ok, but having to buy the later expansions individually for each system kind of makes the idea a bit shit in the end?
