Yeah Monster Hunter is.
Also Avengers wont be a sales flop. Hell, even Anthem wasnt.
Could be a critical flop though.

You don't really get new content regularly, there is no pay to get good gear options... or "lootboxes" although I could see the argument that the monsters are lootboxes... Just trying to figure where does it fit in the scheme of things for being a GaaS?
If it is,a GaaS, it was made that way by accident...
While Capcom does have plans for post-launch support, they are not aiming at making their game receive new content for 5 or 10 years after release.
Interestingly enough, Ryozo Tsujimoto didn’t seem to understand what games as a service means, stating that it’s not really a Japanese thing at the moment.https://www.google.com/amp/s/wccftech.com/monster-hunter-world-gaas/amp/
They've got monthly events, tie in promotions, and the monsters definitely count as content drops as well as the continually raising difficulty/HR ceiling
Capcom can act like they don't know what GaaS is, but they do it damn near every chance they get...

You can even target body parts for drops which you can't really do with the standard lootbox game...

But if it is a GaaS then like Xpike said it's a good one.
GaaS is only a dirty word when the support sucks, is exploitative, or there's constant issues about content. Whether it's meant to be indefinite or just a few months is the real issue for most - and how much of the finished product is being split too.
Lots of games fit the description.

that's part of it, I think not even game developers know what GaaS means anymore beyond constant updates and post-launch support.
I'd think if Avengers' GaaS thing is just that it'll get new missions and events and stuff it may end up good.

I have zero problems with GAAS. Some do it well, some don't. And usually it's not a case of the extra content feeling manipulative/exploitative to me rather it's just low quality content.
Almost all of Ubisoft's output is GaaS and almost all of it is well done. Their support for their games has me hyped for Watch Dogs 3.

From time to time, I do paid consumer surveys when I'm sitting around in between lessons in the university.
Anyway, shortly after launch Capcom had one about Monster Hunter. They were asking in what kind of content you're interested, whenever it should be a big piece of DLC with a new map and several monster or rather constant monster updates with other things thrown in.
some old pc games like UT could be seen as GaaS. That got like 5 free massive official map packs over like 2 years.
By Bungie Go To PostGaaS just another gaming forum buzzword like tropes, ludonarrative dissonance, roguelike, etc…but makes even less sense

Games as a service is pretty much when a game is constantly updated by the devs in the belief that it would act as a consistent revenue stream. I think that's a the best explanation of it.
Blood & Truth reached the top of the UK charts, first VR game to do so. Sales numbers might not be extraordinary as there's not much being released right now but it's still very good for Sony London.
Someone help me explain why people are worried about "spoilers" for E3, a series of product announcements? It's literally a bunch of commercials.
Like, the Halo 4 barn video is the best thing related to that game.

You don't ask madness for its reasons.
These are the type of people that created a non-spoiler thread for Nintendo Direct when it got delayed and publishers released the trailers themselves.

the only enjoyable aspect of watching it live comes from the surprises, if you come across spoilers better to just wait until the day after to watch your commercials imo

Entirely different dev for Fable might change the game for good, so I would like to be suprised in a positive way.
