Meanwhile I ordered a new fan for my PS4 Pro. The sound is getting so fucking annoying. Gonna install that along with some new thermal paste.
Would have tried out that liquid metal instead of the thermal paste, but got no experience with it and I don't wanna kill the console.

Don't think it'd work. Consoles tend to use blower style fans/coolers to make up for the dumbfuck airflow design in them. If a top vent was cut into the case though, I reckon it would.

There are two fans you can get. Delta and Nidec. Delta is the loud one and really fucks up your enjoyment, which was mostly used in the first wave of pro consoles.
Comparsion between the two.
Got the Nidec one for 16€, so it's not a bad deal.

Aluminum is a no go, the LM will corrode it. Plus it could likely be a waste of time anyway, the gains between decent thermal paste and LM aren't huge with direct die cooling, and they're even slimmer with lower TDP hardware and small heatsinks.I would love to try it out, but I just can't afford to fuck that up. Even with the nail polish, I don't think I would take the risk. Gonna go with Arctic MX-4 and also got some Thermal Grizzly pads left, since the normal thermal pads on the memory seems to be absolutely shit.
If it would be just be new thermal paste, I wouldn't expect that much tbh. The fan is what matters most here. Fucking abysmal selection from Sony.

Delta fans are actually fantastic for airflow, honestly, they out perform most, even Noctua's. They're just loud as fuck because they run at absurdly high RPMs, 50dB is on the quiet side for them.
The first choice for many servers, but not wise inside a console or regular home computer.

Nioh is pretty damn fun. You no longer have spirit animals, they replaced them with two legged Yokai forms, which look a lot less sillier.
You can even equip your Yokai form with special abilities like summoning little yokai to help etc, so going full Yokai build seems like a valid strategy.
