Yeah, apparently new FF7R trailer in that Sony Direct. Death Stranding trailer coming very soon too.
Annoyed that Activision isn't trying to milk Sekiro, the one time I wanted them to go full Activision, they don't..

By s y Go To Posttry hard emma maeWill do. It looks...desperate. Filled to the brim with mechanics and stuff that's been done before. Another Days Gone, if you will.
let me know how it is. I fear everything outside of the gunplay will bog dogshit. Like "need more extreme points to continue" type of trash.
Still dont know why it open world. glad is 60fps on ps4 tho

Just ordered Fire Emblem Three Houses since I'll need something to play on the Switch the week after it's released, and Pokemon Let's Go is fucking dreadful
Seems like Nintendo have basically said nothing about it other than the Direct, unfortunately. Would like to know how it's structure and combat compares to Awakening.

Speaking to VGC in an upcoming interview, studio head Atsushi Inaba said it “wasn’t easy” to watch as publisher Microsoft received the brunt of fan ire following the cancellation news.
“Both sides failed,” Inaba said, and ultimately, the game “didn’t do all of the things that we needed to do as a developer”.
“Watching fans getting angry at Microsoft over the cancellation wasn’t easy for us to watch. Because the reality is, when any game in development can’t get released it’s because both sides failed.
“I think there are areas where we could’ve done better and I’m sure there are areas that Microsoft as a publishing partner wish that they could’ve done better. Because nobody wants a game to be cancelled.”
Wow look at that sound logic

Never tried it before, it looked a bit bland.
I loved Dragon's Dogma the first time around but bounced off it when I started it again a few months ago :(

What bits of MGSV do Kojima fanboys think were finished? You hear quite a lot 'if only Kojima had time to finish it' but as far as I'm concerned the problems with the game persist throughout. Sure, the ending is shite, but that's not exactly out of keeping with the rest of the story.
Dragons Dogma hasn't aged well to say the least :(

That and the lack of bosses were the two things I couldn't get over

Outside of the awful intro, the first act was pretty great in terms of mission and of course, gameplay.
Whenever the "play old mission in hard mode/do side missions to continue" started was pretty obvious where the development got cut short.

I felt like the repetetive mission design had become clear and frustrating way before they started repeating.

Yes certainly. I've no doubt Konami wasnt a great help, but Kojima seemed determined to piss away the budget from day one as well, with useless base building and invasion shit, and hiring expensive fucking actors because he is desperate to hang out with hollywood people.
In my time with it, the basebuilding was completely ignorable. The great controls and sheer amount of tools and mechanics available to the player made up for the mission design in c chapter one.
I do agree that the open world was useless and the game would have been far better off as a series of ground zero size mission areas.

The basebuilding was ignorable, and I imagine most people ignored that and the whole invasion system (cause it wasnt fun or anything). My point was more, that Kojima was pissing away his budget on dumb shit like it.

yeah developing the fox engine was eating away at the game's budget for a number of years
but then konami don't even develop games anymore, so that went down the drain lol
shoulda used unreal 4

also a lot of the shit that was cut wasn't because of budgetary issues but because, and people tend to forget, these games had to run on 360 and PS3

Support abusive work places, where the boss assaults workers, brehs.
I only support wholesome indie developers and MGS4
Gaming employment been getting away with a lot of bullshit because the workforce been so passionate about what they do they swallow tons of shit.
from my understanding things like the invasion shit were pushed in by konami so that the game would have a way to push microtransactions.
plus the obvious that ground zeroes was 100% meant to be part of the main game but konami forced them to put it separately to recoup some costs.
there were also some other things like Konami not allowing him to switch fully into ps4/x1 making development harder and leading to things like the open world and mother base being emptier than intended. also getting the fox engine to run on all 4 consoles made it harder to create.
not saying the game wouldve been perfect but it definitely wouldve been better. peace walker for example has 5 chapters plus the hard/silly mission varieties, it's silly to think Kojima had the whole chapter thing thought up if it was just gonna be chapter 1 and 2 so it's likely there was a lot of the game that was never made

I think episode 51 specifically was a nightmare to get on ps3, so they just scrapped it and included the unfinished cutscenes
episode 51 was supposed to be a whole new area too, set on an island or whatever and the older consoles just couldn't cope with it
I don't even know why konami were hellbent on having ps3/360 versions, it's not like those versions amounted to anything sales-wise
fucking backwards ass japanese companies

By Xpike Go To Posti still remember that transition period where it seemed every company forgot console shifts had happened before so everything was on ps360 and next genYou're going to see a lot of that for PS5 and Scarlett, too, though. I'm sure most every big game slated for next fall is PS4/XO/PS5/Scarlett.
Makes sense. Want to sell to that huge userbase first. and then again a year later as a 4k ULTIMATE EDITION

Finished Dark Souls 3 today including the DLC. Tough af and the lore is not as interesting as Bloodborne, but still great game.
