This is very hurtful and racist and I hope your computer gets caught in an endless blue screen loop

Speaking of spending those big bucks, I need to put together a build for work, will be our 'office entertainment' PC. Budget is 350€.
I'm thinking 5600G, A320M mobo, 16gb DDR4 3200, cheap-but-not-completely trash 500-600W PSU, ultra cheap mini tower case. The 5600G comes with a stock cooler, I think, the SSD we can salvage from our current PC. We'll definitely be adding a rtx 1060-1070 level GPU in the near future (for the rare 1080p gaming session, mostly for multiple outputs), but for now the above will do.
Haven't spent a lot of time looking at alternatives, can't really think of any. The 5600G can be had for really cheap atm.

Like, you just need to download windows and are wondering how to do that or are you asking for advice on where to get a grey market key?

Oh yeah no problem.
Have a spare USB drive and another computer available? If so, use the "Create Windows 11 Installation Media" media link here: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
After installation you just use the Windows store to purchase the license.
No computer available? You can buy it on USB from places like Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-dvd903211-Windows-11-USB/dp/B09V6R9QZZ/
Windows 11 has some steeper requirements than Windows 10 does so going with 10 still might be the best option.

I added another note to that post. Make sure you can actually run Windows 11 before dropping $140 on it.
I'm drunkenly buying the PC parts I've been meaning to get months ago. It bloody better well run Windows 11 or else!
By diehard Go To PostOh yeah if its new stuff you're good.I should be good with a Pentium 3 and a Voodoo 3 2000, right? 🤔

By Scum Go To PostI'm an old man, diehard. I thought MS wanted me to buy Windows nowadays. They don't care how you go about acquiring a legit Windows 11 key.
Create an installation USB as per diehard's instructions, then go here, make an account, get a Windows 11 Pro key for 5€, prosper and be happy.

The Samsung 980 1 TB PCIe 3.0 is on Amazon.co.uk for £94.99 £68.98.
Also, is this the keyboard & mouse you recommended, Zabo?

I don't remember, but those are quality peripherals for sure.
The G915 is on the pricey side, if you don't need wireless / RGB / full size there are cheaper options in Logitech's stable.

I have a G613 and its perfectly fine. Wireless keyboard is actually more important to me than the mouse, because im weird and often lean back and put the keyboard in my lap.
Unlike Smokey, I can’t stand Logitech. All their products have gone faulty on me after a year or two. Maybe I just have bad luck.
My glorious peripherals still work like day 1 once you can get past the terrible branding.

I've actually been using a Corsair K100 for a year +. I did get the wireless GOAT aka G502 a few months ago. No ragrets.
I donated alot of my Logitech stuff to Goodwill when i moved.

I’m the Logitech stan of Slaent. At least for their mice, I don’t use their keyboards since they don’t offer a 60% board.
Been using a G502 for desktop use/single player games and a Superlight for multiplayer/Siege for a while now.

Ordered a Hynix P41 2TB SSD today. All of the reviews state that it’s significantly faster than a 980 Pro. Not that it matters in normal usage, but it matters for benching
Plan for this to be the single drive in my Maximus Extreme for the time being. If I decide to stay on it, I’ll move the 3x Nvme drives from my Aorus master to it later on.

Meanwhile I'm going to buy a used 3060. All about the small form factor for me and emulation mostly. 5700G served me well in that regard but need some extra Gs for higher res.

Seemingly quite good for compatibility but fairly large for a console style case.

Good news - The Corsair 4000D arrived and is a very nice case indeed.
Bad news - I heard rattling as I picked it out of the box. At least two of the hinges on the right hand that clip the front bezel in place have snapped off. So it's on the way back for a replacement, free of charge of course.
I blame Zabo.
