I'd legit buy it lol. Between that and the Gundam & EVA Asus boards, I'm glad to see more themed boards on the market
By Laboured Go To PostWould prolly fit with a 90 degree cable mod.
The tubes, bro.

I was unaware there'd be so little flex.
I hope to see more larger cases go with mesh side panels. Especially given the size of cards now. The majority of air pushed through the finstack Will go straight out the side panel.
A good design allowing for dual 140mm fans in the front, a low impedance front panel/dust filter and the right hole spacing on the mesh side panel would be superb for air cooled builds.
Could be improved further too if the side panel is solid below the third/fourth PCIE slot. That way the GPU’s fans wouldn’t recirculate any of the exhausted air.
By Smokey Go To PostMore and more reports of burnt 12VHPWR cables are starting to hit despite very little bend…I don’t think the bend radius is necessarily the cause of them melting. I think it’s more likely that they haven’t been completely seated in the socket.
Slight gap between the contacts, with a high load over a small surface area.
I’ve seen enough DIY PC builders do absolutely wacky shit with their builds that I genuinely have no confidence in this not being user error in 99% of all cases.
I needed an additional PCIE cable anyway as my Cablemod order from a few years ago only came with 3. Just went ahead and added their 12VHPWR cable as well.
By Adam Go To PostPreach 😭You too? Let's be neighbors and buy a real house unlike that HOA scam Fender is doing.
Saving up for a house means I can't buy all these toys right away anymore 😢

AMD isn't using this connector 😉

But no inventory 😭
AMD isn't using that connector because they're cowards. Did Icarus worry about flying too high because of the Sun? No, because going high fucking rules.
By diehard Go To PostI'm glad the consortiums to come up with these standards have everything figured outThey'll blame the consumer?
By Lunatic Go To PostHow the fuck did that happen?Usually some sort of mechanical stress with only some pins actually making contact.
There are orders of magnitude more hours of run time on 8-pin PCIe and Mini-Fit Jr connectors compared to 12VHPWR and Micro-Fit 3.0 though. Probably some FUD about 12VHPWR going around but it's likely it also wasn't the greatest of designs for a consumer application either.
I wish we could have moved on from 12 volts but that would be an ordeal.
By Adam Go To PostBut SmokeyInventory has been increasing since the May peak. We are roughly half way to getting back to pre-covid inventory. Also prices have fallen 13% in OC since then. Spring 2023 is going to be interesting for buyers.

By inventory, I mean good inventory. So many bad flips currently too. Ain't no way these flips are worth 500 4090s more.
Dumb flippers refusing to lower prices below 700-$750k.
i have been seeing a bit more quality houses under $700k lately.
Table has turned finally. I went to a few open houses recently, and the realtors said owners were flexible on price.

Good. JPow should've hit the breaks a year ago.
We're gonna hit 9% by eoy. Slow bleed in price reduction. Buyers like me can wait.
But we should start seeing prices freefall by next spring.

By Kabro Go To PostGood. JPow should've hit the breaks a year ago.Not sure we will see it get that high if you are talking about the US FED but yes my local car loan will increase to 7.25% next month after the raise. Can only imagine those with variable rate mortgages here. There will be a lot of foreclosures which will increase inventory which will cause also contribute to price drops. But the every day person struggling will suffer so I'm not too keen on celebrating it. I'm just lucky to be in a place of above average financial health while the majority of my compatriots suffer.

I'm not celebrating mass job losses. In the great recession, I was one of the casualties of layoffs. This time around, there will be opportunities for those, like myself, who are ready to invest to be in a better position financially when the economy rebounds.
Mortgage rates are at 7.25% currently, next BP we'll easily hit 8%. Another fed meeting next month and another in February.
Anyways sorry off topic discussion. Dr. Adamu started it. I totally blame him.

By Zabojnik Go To PostWatch this magically become a non-issue in a couple of months.
I’m surprised it’s an issue now. The 16 pin connector was used on the 3090Ti too I believe? And it’s also identical to the prior 12 pin used on 30 series FE cards. Only difference is the 4 extra sense pins IIRC.

Only difference is the 4 extra sense pins IIRC.On 40 series the connector is also in a different spot on the card and now folks have to bend it to get it to fold so they can close the side panel. The 30 series FE had the connector angled iirc and I think some like the EVGA card had the connector on the tail end of the card.
New puter won't POST when any DIMM's are in channel A (first 2 slots)
anyone got any idea of things to try besides re-slotting everything and updating the BIOS?
I don't know if it would be the mobo or CPU so it would be a pain to return both

Nothing you wouldn't have already done. Sounds like a bum board, imo.
Just try one stick at a time in each slot.
