By Celcius Go To PostMiners get rektIt’d be nice if that were the case, but the big mining operations have likely made the money back on the GPUs and then some. Selling the cards at a “loss” now is just extra money on top.
New GPU prices in the UK haven’t changed much either over the last couple moments. Availability is much better though, there was an MSRRP drop on Scan recently for most of the FE cards. AIB cards are still over the MSRRP across the board for Nvidia cards.
AMD cards are priced fairly correct currently though.
Got my gf the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T monitor for her birthday. Her 3060TI is probably on the verge of being able to drive it well, but she seems to be really happy with it, so far. It is nevertheless a huge upgrade over her old 1080p TN gaming monitor. She says the only time the curve has bothered her is when walking up steps in a FPS, they can appear a little warped to her eyes.
We also have a color calibration tool coming in a couple weeks to get all our monitors calibrated for the color critical work we both do.

By Celcius Go To PostGot any updated pics of the rig with z690 and DDR5?
I kind of want to mount the GPU vertical, I have the pieces to do it.
As long as it has at least 3/4" of space between it and the side of the case, you should be fine to do it.

Yeah I should be fine.
As a side note, the RGB isn't nearly as bright IRL. iphone exposure and all that.
By Smokey Go To PostYeah I should be fine.Pro tip: Lower the brightness of the RGB down to 25% for pics.

PC looking nice tho, nice base set there for a full custom loop.
Pulsar have been making some waves in the mouse industry lately. They make the superglide glass mouse feet, have a great range of mousepads, and offer some good wireless and low weight mice.
Ugh Asus ArmoryCrate and AuraSync suck. I just spent 1.5 hours just trying to change the RGB colors on my motherboard (the apps wouldn't install, then when you uninstall them they leave stuff installed, ArmoryCrate installed like five million different background services, AuraSync wouldn't start, ArmorCrate couldn't detect any RGB devices, etc...). Finally I gave OpenRGB a try and was done in like 10 seconds.

Asus makes great hardware but I'm never using those first 2 programs again. Sigh.

Uninstall all your current RGB software and try OpenRGB. Works across most different brands of hardware for RGB control.
By Celcius Go To PostYep OpenRGB is all I need going forward. I don't see how Asus can be so bad at software. They're all bad at software. Corsair, Asus, NZXT, etc. They're all fucking shocking.

I will at least give credit to Asus's BIOS team. The motherboard BIOS on Asus boards is usually solid, if not the best in any given generation of boards.

Good point
I still have a 7000D (unopened) too. That case is huge and seems to be made WC.
I have like 4 different RGB systems going on . OpenRGB sounds like a blessing I’ll try that out. Has anybody tried or heard of signal RGB? Looks to do the same thing.

That’s a point by the way, you need to uninstall any and all RGB software for the unified RGB software to work. Might be an issue with your fans since the Lian Li software controls the fan speed and RGB?

Ahhhh…yeah…
I guess it’s not too big of a deal because I can close the programs and the effect will still hold, but it’d be nice to have one unified interface .
Anybody had issues with audio over USB with Windows 11 (or 10)?
Mines has been iffy over the last couple days and I’m not sure why since I haven’t changed anything. Randomly the playback gets very distorted/skips for a couple seconds then goes back to normal.
Only happens with audio through my DAC, which is connected via USB.
Gonna try a new cable for my headphones to see if that’s the issue. Only tried basic troubleshooting in Windows with uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, updating the DAC software, etc.

I tried everything and at some point actually managed to get it to work properly on Windows 10, but I've no idea which of the dozens of solutions I tried did the trick. I think it had something to do with trying out different sample rates and bit depths and some other random setting.
No such luck on Windows 11. It only works with the basic windows drivers, which is good enough for what I'm currently using it for, a basic sound card with my studio monitors, but I just can't get it to work with M-Audio drivers installed, which are notoriously fucking terrible.
Not too bothered, I'll probably upgrade to a proper audio interface before the year is over.
Well glad to know it’s not just a me thing.
I’ll try PCIE3.0, thank you Kib bro.
I’ll try fucking with the DAC settings too, I can’t use the default Windows drivers with my DAC though. Tried it last night and it dropped audio completely.

The drought seems over. Had the opportunity to buy a new 3070Ti Founders Edition for MSRP of 649€. It's an one year old card. Think I'm going to stick it out till the next 300-400€ card Nvidia releases.
I ordered a 3060 that should be here today. Finally back on an Nvidia card after slumming it with AMD for too long. Really excited to see what this DLSS thing is all about.
Figure this thread is the more appropriate thread, so what do you guys think of the new Sony INZONE products that were announced?
The monitor sounds good, but I'm not too sure about the HDR. I like that it's 27" because I don't want to be Vapes with a 50" for a computer monitor.

You do, you just don't realise it yet.
The monitor seems mostly fine, I watched the HUB review on it earlier. I don't think I'd pay more than £600 for it. The price it's at is too close to the QD-OLED alienware monitor, and more expensive than a 48 inch LG OLED. I do like the stand though. If VESA mounting was an option, that stand would save a lot of desk space for a large mousepad.
New fractal case looks nice.
@Kibner @Zabo I've fixed my audio issue. New Topping Firmware has fixed it.

If I hadn’t already got a riser cable and vertical mount to use in my current case, I’d be strongly considering that DAN A3.
ITX/mATX motherboard support, option for inverted layout, 360mm radiator support. Sounds cummy.

can't even buy the mid-tier ps5
Now that videocard prices have dropped like a rock, maybe I should start collecting Titan cards… Titan V, Titan RTX, Titan Z, etc…

nice, we recently upgraded our main editing bay to a z690 with a 12900k, glad i can upgrade sometime next year.
