By Laboured Go To PostReally don't trust this because both the The Sun and Custis are pretty unreliable on United, but just for funsies anyway.Yes
By World B. Flat Go To Postanybody got the malware bytes business version? is it worth the money? No, I just have the personal version. Sorry.
I have that too, just wondering how good the business version is compared to windows defender endpoint or some shit
By inky Go To PostTime to water cool your monitors ladsGenuinely something I considered and looked into. There’s an universal waterblock that fits it. Then I went to the CX so didn’t bother.
By Laboured Go To PostFuck me my X27 is even overheating and shutting down in this heat lmaoClean the fan, Horse lad. Gotta take the stand off, get in there with a brush and air gun. Had to do mine often just to keep the noise down.
By Patriotism Go To PostSend it to me and ill keep.. clean it for youWant mine on the cheap? Still got it, was gonna take it CEX but those fuckers only wanna give me about £300 for it.

i'm only on a 2070S :(
also can't afford it rn with everything going on/
Was looking at GPUs today and its heartening to see 3090s and 3080tis back in stock but they're still nearly 200% of RRP.

This 1660 stop gap strategy until the 3000 series came out is really not paying off dividends
pls kill me

I don’t think the consumer side demand has waned at all, they’d all be out of stock at RRP.
there was a drop earlier and i had a chance to buy a 3080ti for £1050.... didn't pull the trigger. not sure if i'll regret

By Laboured Go To PostFuck me my X27 is even overheating and shutting down in this heat lmaoOof, this is why I’ve refused to ever buy a monitor with a built in fan. Maybe it’s time to go with a 48” oled instead.
I gotta say tho the room my PC is in is by far the hottest in my entire flat and with the worst ventilation too. Not much I can about that at present.

I don’t think it’s the fan that’s the issue, just a really poor heatsink on the chip inside. Some units have defects too where the screw that mounts the heatsink protrudes too far and causes improper contact.
My unit got me through last summer at minimum fan speeds, even when it was 30c+ in the room. I also didn’t use it HDR on it at that time, which according to Acer is the main reason it needs active cooling in the first place.
Regardless, a CX is the play in my opinion.

Yup same at my house. Melting trying to play some Apex, not being helped by the heat being jettisoned from the system on top of this disgusting humid weather that makes you feel like a fat man's taint all over.
Was tempted to drag the system into the garden under the umbrella

A dry 40C in Cyprus is far more comfortable than this fucking humid shyte.
Ok, I've gotta ask. Does the UK have some kind of law that dissuades people from buying AC? What's the deal here?
By Celcius Go To PostMaybe it’s time to go with a 48” oled instead.Wait for the 42" model. Shouldn't be too long.

We don’t really understand what AC is beyond the blowy thing in the car that does cold air.
By Celcius Go To PostGundam router acquiredwtf, that's really a thing lol.
Going to wait to actually use it until after I move
With GPUs unavailable, no upgrade-worthy ultrawide monitors in sight and with my new build postponed to Q1 2022, I'm looking for alternative ways to waste money.
It's ... *looks around the room* ... mouse upgrade time!
I'm sticking with Logitech, but I'm undecided between getting a custom G Pro Superlight and modding my old G Pro wireless. Leaning towards the latter to save a good chunk of money and grant myself the opportunity to tinker.
My primary objective is to swap the default wheel encoder with a 8mm Kailh Red. I'm actually not sure that it's going to completely solve my issue - wheel sometimes getting stuck between steps - but apparently the steps are significantly more pronounced in the Kailh, so might as well try.
I'm also gonna swap the infamous Omron switches with Kailhs, not sure which ones yet, either reds, teals or blacks. Left and right button switches are definitely getting upgraded, I'm not sure if I'll bother with side buttons. Maybe.
Gonna get new skates are well, either Hyperglides or Corepads, whichever is cheaper and available.
Finally I'll look into shedding off some weight. Nothing too extreme, I'd be perfectly happy with a 10-15g reduction. Wireless charging parts are getting axed for sure, as is the factory base plate, if I'm satisfied with how this 3D printed honeycomb replacement turns out.
Should be a fun little project.

By Wahabipapagooz Go To PostStopped reading at 'sticking with logitech'I don't know which mouse you're using, but it's shit™.
Love my GPW and G Hub has been working flawlessly for me (auto DPI switching between desktop and game). Just no reason to switch.
