incredible. All you need is a spare room for the PC.
By Celcius Go To PostGot my 3080 Ti today:
Then sold the 3070 Ti I was using to a coworker so that he could build a system too. My watch is over (until next generation).
Next I may look into undervolting to bring the temps down some. Possibly more case fans too, although I want a new case so I might just go for that.
Just ordered the Asus Gundam wireless router since I needed a router anyways and it also came with a free gundam t-shirt in my size lol
Still not sure when the Gundam case will be on sale...

By Laboured Go To PostCelcius plsIt doesn’t look any worse than a PS5.
By Pedja Go To PostEven in the PC thread they can't stop talking about PS5. Cerny wins.Talking? We all* own one. It's basically a PC with a sensational price to performance ratio. Bless Lisa Su once more.
*not all
By FligureSkatingFlan Go To PostWhat reason is there for having both a PC and Series X, backwards compatibility?I asked the same question, but my girlfriend wanted one anyway despite only playing one game on her PC and having no interest in backwards compatibility.
I use it occasionally for BC. Played Black on it last month. Can’t say I’m a fan of the system though. USB wireless headsets don’t even work on, and swapping it from TV to monitor means going through all the display settings to get 120hz mode working every time the cable is swapped between them.

not too many. but considering how hard it is to get a decent gpu at the moment... that could certainly be a reason for it as well

Would love to upgrade to RTX 3000 and Ryzen 6000 by the end of the year, but it's probably gonna be March 2022 before both are somewhat readily available.
Maybe El Giganten will finally be forced to fulfil Wooden's 3080 order. They still haven't cancelled, W?
Anyway, I'm semi-active on the drop hunters scene again. Maybe in the next couple of months.

Ride that 1080Ti till the wheels fall off, m8
I’m considering upgrading GPU blocks at this point since this 2080Ti is gonna need to last me quite some time still.

Amazing. How long has it been, exactly? And I assume you already paid for it in full.
At least Amazon has been giving me regular 'delivery date moved back' bullshit updates for the Corsair K63 wireless I ordered back in may.

Having a very weird problem with my Xbox Elite controller which is connected to my PC by wire. Just keep randomly disconnecting for a couple of seconds. I mean, I'd understand more if it were wireless :lol
I've checked the physical connection at each end. Might be time I just use it wireless instead.

Does the elite use C or micro USB? I went through 2 regular xbawks one controllers already. One just died, the other one the X button stopped working, so it's useless for 99.9% of games. Shocking quality control.
Are you using the Microsoft store pairing software? Could b janky ass software as well

I've not used any pairing software other than what is used by default on W10. USB-C as I understand it.

Possibly the connection is damaged internally?
I was thinking that. Better odds that was the case with a micro usb than c tho. Truly the shittiest version of USB. I'm glad we've mostly moved away form it.

That's sort of where I'm headed. I'll try a couple of things and see what's what.

Anyone use blue mechanical switches for gaming? I've been using browns for years and I feel the urge to make the switch to the clicky side but I'm worried about the noise. Is it much worse than brown switches?

Is it much worse than brown switches?Yes, it is. And reds (or other linear switch) are what you want for gaming since you can double-tap buttons quicker and easier with them. The high resistance tactile + clicky switches are the last thing you want for gaming.
