I had an issue with a plastic bit on the gas cylinder of my Humanscale Freedom chair. Emailed them last week and they sent an engineer out today, replacing the whole cylinder and an unrelated bit on the back I didn’t even realise I’d damaged. Ten year warranty so all free of charge. It does feel great when you spend big on something and realise that investment over time.

Ordered the Dell S2721DGFA on the 5th and it arrived today. Never had a montior this size, this resolution or with this refresh rate so it's a big upgrade.
Bought a finger-tip vertical mouse. Should come in today. Should be very usable when I have to take the work laptop somewhere and likely won't have much space to use for a mouse.
By Pedja Go To PostFuck. This is going to take some getting used to.Make use of putting windows on opposite halves of the screen.

Aight, I've been using this mouse all day: https://www.cityergonomics.com/dxt-mouse-2-wireless-ergonomic-mouse/
First impressions a little awkward to start with, but I like it, overall. Using just my fingers to push it around takes some getting used to.
It is light enough to easily move around so I haven't noticed any fatigue, but that may take more use over the course of the week to determine.
Easy to pickup without needing to squeeze or pinch, which is very useful for relocating the mouse on the mousepad.
It is tall, so you may knock it over a few times while getting used to the height. It is pretty small other than that.
Since it requires you to use your fingers to push it around, it does not require much surface area to actually use. This combined with the small size makes me think it will work very well for when I need to pack it with my laptop and use it at not-home/office.
Too expensive ($90-100) for people who don't fit in the niche it serves, though.

By HonestVapes Go To PostPlay Quake with it, please.I'm actually going to try it with some fps games this week because I'm curious. It should go better than the other vertical mice I've used which are full-handed and harder to relocate.
Curious to see how it will hold up compared to DLSS and TAA. Even if it doesn’t look quite as good as DLSS, it may have an advantage in render latency at 200+ FPS. DLSS gets pretty worthless beyond that point from what I’ve read.
Though this is AMD so they’ll do some dumb shit like lock the feature to 4K resolution only.

Zabo was it your brother who got that Mountain Everest? My old Corsair that I use for csgo, is falling apart, so thinking about moving my Varmilo to that setup, and want a new main keyboard that includes media keys and numpad for my ultrawide. Want to hear how good it really is.
Edit: actually i found your impressions on the last page lmao, i'm senile. Sounds good, but fuck me, replacing keycaps...

I mean, you don't have to right away, but eventually they'll turn to shit.
I've used it some more since and it's a fine keyboard, elevated by its modularity and features.
I'll probably get the 75% Glorious one.

I've looked at glorious too. Only annoying part is you have to lube some of them yourself.
But yeah I already have a 65%, I like it a lot. But miss that numpad, so that's why I want that everest

Being able to pick your own keycaps & switches and lubbing/filming/whatever them is precisely what I want from my next keyboard. The upcoming Glorious 75 strikes me as the perfect compromise between a mass produced and fully custom keeb, when you're looking to not spend 600€+.
Plus I really, really miss having the function row on top on my 65% and I've also grown to dislike having to rely on the function key for basic stuff like PrintScreen. I thought I'd get used to it and it's obviously not a huge annoyance, but I don't like it. In part because it reminds me of laptops.

That Kinesis TKO I linked earlier supports swapping switches. :v
Cherry, Zealios, and Gateron. Just the broken up space bar may prove a challenge for good looking key caps but it also supports a full size space bar.
Also, it still lacks a dedicated function key row.

That price don't seem so unreasonable given where we are at with these things
I guess you can't mine with a monitor though and it's not WFH hardware either
Where is the ROG Swift PG32UQ price?

Use it for everything.

Just the X27 and PG27UQ I think.

By HonestVapes Go To PostPlay Quake with it, please.Just finished a single round. It's not terrible! I would have to play with it more to come to a better conclusion. It looks like the best way to use it is to play with a higher dpi (like twice what I am used to) and make big movements with your whole arm and do little movements with just your finger tips. That still lets you get good-to-great precision.
I don't know if it will hold up for competitive play, but I think average gamers who have less mousepad space to work with could do some good work with it after adjusting for a week or two.

cant believe i sold my 1080ti cheap just after i got my 3090. i could have gotten like double for it now
Can a 3080 be considered 'office supply' or 'computer equipment' (probably cost more than £2000 so i can reclaim the VAT at this point) 🤔
By Bungie Go To PostHow much can I get for the 980ti under my bed?Probably like $200, minimum. Likely much more.
Vapes, another update on that special vertical mouse:
I have not used it much in an fps game other than Deep Rock Galaxy, but am growing more and more used to it. Have noticed that I am more accurate with my mouse pointer in Windows. Have not got a good feel for how accurate I can be with wide movements due to not playing any games that really require that kind of movement lately.
Doesn't put nearly as much stress on my pinky finger as a normal mouse because the amount of pressure needed to get a firm grip for controlled movement is much, much less. The buttons themselves also require noticeably less actuation force. Especially the scroll wheel button. However, I am having to use my wrist brace to train myself how to grip it properly so I don't get RSI in my wrist.
It is definitely a learning experience to use comfortably and effectively. The more I use it, the more I like it (with the exception of it being just a three-button mouse).

By Zabojnik Go To PostWooden, I'm starting to lose faith in Elgiganten.
I just checked the other day, and it still says estimated delivery Dec 2020
I also watched Taeha's review / impressions and it's basically what I expected and hoped for. Great value for the money, especially if you're looking for a 75% board, of which there aren't that many. It can't compare to 400€+ barebones kits in terms of sheer quality of all the parts, but I don't need it to. With a couple of mods - better stabilizers first and foremost - it should be a joy to type on.
Ordering one in black as soon as the ISO layout becomes available. Big boi Enter key for life.
No idea what switches and keycaps I'll go with yet, definitely linears tho.

I’d be interested in a more game friendly vertical mouse. Not for competitive games or anything, but for more standard single player, casual multiplayer and general browsing/use. I’d totally be down for it.
I would be interested to see how a standard and vertical mouse with identical sensors and identical weight compare too. Be hard for anyone to do a truly fair comparison though since the vast majority of people have only ever used standard mice.
@Zabo the GMMK Pro looks cummy. You have my blessing to go for it.
