Might wait for the refresh chip. 2080 Super released in summer 2019. Original 2080 in november 2018.
Or is the 3080 with 20GB RAM going to be the this gen's Super? I dunno.
The first nvidia card I can get with HDMI 2.1 and less than 300€ is going to be mine. And if it's a 3050 I'm fine with that too.

Specifically in regards to a 3080, the mark up on AIB cards is absurd anyway. I’d only be in the market for one if Scan drop some FE models for £650 and I catch them in stock by chance.
Still though, for me it’s completely a want and not a need. My 2080Ti still seems good enough for me.

For Nvidia, it's a simple matter of opening up MSI afterburner and editing the core clock curve so that you have a straight line in the curve once it reaches your target voltage/clockspeed. Though personally, I would run the auto OC tool first to give you a more aggressive frequencyXvoltage curve and then create a flat line on the curve from there. For a 2080Ti, 860mv at 1800-1850mhz is a popular option for lowered power draw, but you can go with whatever suits you.
I went with 900mv at 1900mhz since it fit nicely within my card's power limit, so I don't get any variance in the boost clock. Your MSI Trio should be able to handle something more along the lines of 2000mhz at 1000mv without bumping into the power limit. Depending on the quality of the die, you may be able to get a higher clock or a lower voltage, etc. Same rules apply to it as overclocking in that sense.

I've only ever read good things for the service from OCUK from people overseas. Back in my super smol SFF days, I remember a lot of American's used OCUK to order the Asetek 545LC/645LT 92mm AIO since they were one of only two stores selling it.
Shame about the shipping time though, I don't recall it taking so long for people back then.

There was a few single fans available too, also gone now. Who knew fans could be so in demand? Personally I’m still waiting on a proper performance based review of them. The blades look physically smaller than other 120mm fans so I just can’t see them performing as well as Arctic or Noctua’s on a rad or heatsink.
Given Zy’s opinions on how a mouse should be shaped, that’s about what I expected a mouse designed by him to look like. Surprised by the RGB though, bet they added an extra 3-5g to the total weight.

It is so sweet though. Temps on my card dont get above 69c. High end settings in every title at 4k. The 2080ti is very, very solid but the 3090 is different

Didn’t want to clog up the other thread with PC specific stuff in regards to using a CX as a monitor.
VRR, 4K and 120hz all work with my 2080Ti over a HDMI 2.0(b?) cable as long as it’s set to 4:2:0. HDR however does not work in conjunction with 120hz/4K.
I’ve tried to do a custom 21:9 resolution, but it just doesn’t seem to work for some reason I’ve yet to figure out. It refuses to display at all. Disappointing, but I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to make it work eventually.
The Club3D DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter will allow 4K, 120hz, and HDR at 4:4:4 but it doesn’t work with VRR from what I’ve read. Still waiting for mine to arrive to verify.
4:2:0 is definitely noticeable on text, but the text is still completely legible at least. If not for the issue with HDR, it’d be completely functional to run with a 10/20 series card via HDMI 2.0.
I don’t have many graphically good looking games installed to run on it yet. I’ve tried Hades, Fortnite and Cyberpunk. Had no issues with any of them.
I also tried Dark Souls remastered however it didn’t want to work in full screen/4K for whatever reason and just displayed in a small window regardless of in-game display settings selected.
