Novatech have 3090's in stock and available to buy.
The catch is it's the Gigabyte blower model, and it's marked up to fuck at £1850

It's not the extra cost that bothers me, but the base one. :)
I'd be very interested in a larger Ncase tho, if the price is right.

By Zabojnik Go To PostIt's not the extra cost that bothers me, but the base one. :)I would expect it to be in the £200-£300 range. Sliger are generally expensive since the cases are all made in the US and they don't cheap out on the panel thickness, but for what it's worth they do have absolutely solid build quality and customer service.

isnt that blower design terrible?
3090's are not that hard to find anymore. Quite a few stores around europe have them in stock for a few hours here and there now.
By Wahabipapangus Go To Postisnt that blower design terrible?Aye. If it was priced closer to the RRP, then it'd be absolutely fine assuming you were going use your own cooling solution, or use multiple of them together for rendering or whatever.

That's the first time I have seen a 3090 or 3080 in stock in the UK from a a normal retailer.
What's a normal retailer? This got palits in stock right now

aria.co.uk and cclonline had them as well yesterday for some time

AWDIT have been a bit sketchy on their orders, they're fucked over one of my friends earlier this year. I've been checking SCAN, OCUK, CCL, eBuyer mainly.
you actually going for a 3090? cause that stock drop discord / https://discord.gg/mEUDprtV ) is so useful in that case. Not so much for 3080s that just seems to be a shit show still
Think I'd be happy with a 3080, 3090 or 3080Ti if that comes next year. I'm content to wait it out for now though until I see real benchmarks from AMD and have an LG CX set up. In no real rush.
The reasonable thing is probably to wait. Would have done the same, but I was in a rush to get it all sorted, as I any day now, could not be able/allowed to even lift the weight of a 3080 for 3 months... and I really wanted my pc to be ready for cybercunny.
By diehard Go To Postgot my 3080 in, Picadilly doesn't kill my fps anymore yay
So that Godfall game has some odd performance going on with it.
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/godfall-benchmark-test-performance-analysis/4.html
2080Ti is ahead of everything except the 3090 at 1080p. At 1440p it falls behind the 3080 by a handful of frames, but is still ahead of the 3070 by about 10FPS.
At 4K, the 2080Ti falls behind the 3070 despite the game seemingly using more than 8GB of VRAM, and it’s now about 10FPS behind the 3080.
Also the 3090 is over 20% faster than the 3080 at 4K. It’s ahead of the 3080 by a lot at 1080p and 1440p, more than in most games I’ve seen benchmarks for but I can’t be arsed working the percentages out for those.
Curious if these kinda results become “normal” over time with next gen games, especially in regards to the 3080-3090 performance gap being so large compared to the typical 5-10% difference.

very suspicious how the one card with over 12gb vram gets such a boost
i'm shitposting but the performance gap between 3080 and 3090 is quite strange

The gap between the 2080Ti and 3070/3080 at 1080p is the strangest to me. Can’t be VRAM related, since both cards outperform the 2080Ti at 4K where VRAM usage is the highest. I would assume memory bandwidth but the 3080 is higher in that department anyway.
Probably turn out to be a daft driver issue or some shit.

About what you'd expect, although the lack of the right-side buttons means it's likely going to be a naw from me dawg.
I only have one right-side button 'installed' on the G Pro, use it for F5 in Firefox and for switching firing modes and some other stuff in Apex.
Also, that price. Don't foresee this being nearly as popular as the G Pro.

Matches Nvidia with rasterization and matches previous hen Nvidia for RT. Apparently the best gaming card for Linux, though.
Sounds like a pretty good effort for AMD. Next gen from them is going to be super interesting.

By Laboured Go To PostWhat dis SAM stuff do?I think it just provides a way for the cpu to more efficiently feed the gpu.

looks like a solid card
rt performance only matching 20xx cards was expected
nvidia still waaaay ahead in professional apps
need to see amd's version of dlss, doubt it'll be as good but at least it'll be much more widely supported
lisa su did good, but not as godlike as cpu division. 3080ti is still the way to go

Yeah clearly not all there yet, but it's good steps towards something better. Queen Lisa will come good.
Could've probably snatched a 3080 today for reasonable money. It was a gamerific to the max Palit. Hard pass.

Now I see. You deny your PC its purpose! It yearns to bathe in the light of your RGB... but you hold it back.
Very curious to see how the 6900XT turns out. When does the embargo lift for that one?
Could be a good pick up to go with an LG CX, but realistically I’ll probably go with a 3080Ti assuming similar prices.
Even putting aside RT and DLSS. With my current case and the layout of it, cooling should see a significant improvement with the shorter 30 series PCBs. Once a waterblock is on it anyway.
Edit: Nevermind, found the best 3090 in stock
