It's crazy how good it is too given the size. The SF750 is, as Smokey would say, gdlk.
It can be loaded to around 820w and still maintain 91% efficiency, and it runs passively until you draw 300W (Which is the main reason I bought one a while back on sale). They really are the best overall SFX or SFX-L PSUs on the market in my opinion.

Any SFX-L PSUs that are on the same level of performance/noise and possibly cheaper?
I'm still eyeing the TU150 ...

I think Silverstone have the best SFX-L units, they have 700w and 800w units currently, a 1000w unit coming soon. I'm not sure how well the 800w unit compares, but the 700w was a bit behind the SF750 in terms of voltage ripple and all that nerd shit, still completely sound to use though.
Fractal also have a decent 650w SFX-L unit too, it's what NZXT include with the H1 case.
Finally ordered a new case...the Phanteks 500a. Had it on auto notifi on Newegg and it finally came back in stock.
540 has been an alltimer...but i had to move on!

It's been hard to get a hold of. I can't even remember when I set the Newegg notification. About 10 mins after I bought it, it was OOS again. Ordered the cable riser to mount the GPU vertically.
Contemplating moving to the new H150i Elite Capellix 360mm AIO from Corsair when I switch cases. I've wanted a 360 AIO for a while, but couldn't due to the 540 config.
So I did some rearranging in my home office and moved my workstation. I power it up and everything works except the keyboard doesn't work. It's a magicforce smart 68 keyboard. It's backlit and the lights are blinking.
Funny thing is if I connect it to my laptop (USB 3.0 blue) and the keyboard works fine.
Edit:I plugged in the keyboard back to my workstation but this time in the 3.1 USB (red) port and seems to be working fine now.
Did I accidentally change windows settings or something?

By HonestVapes Go To PostSo I should spend £3000 on a 3090 and LG CX 48, yeah? It's safe now?Or get an Asus 3080 ?

I'm not on Smokey's level.
The CX 48 as is would be a tight fit, which is annoying as the CX 55 is currently 100 quid cheaper than it. Even the CX 48 would likely (definitely) be too big for how close I'd be sitting anyway.
By HonestVapes Go To PostI'm not on Smokey's level. .yet you want to buy a $1500 gpu?
RTX 3090: £1400-£1500
CX 48: £1490
vs
RTX 3080: £650-£800
CX 77: £5000
Like I said, not on Smokey's level.

By Smokey Go To PostVapes the 48" would be a monitor replacement?Aye
By HonestVapes Go To PostAye
You definitely need some distance for that. How far would you be from the screen? Would you mount it?
By Smokey Go To PostYou definitely need some distance for that. How far would you be from the screen? Would you mount it?I’d wall mount it. I’d be sat 70-80cm away from the screen normally.
If I rolled back, reclined and used a pad then I think the distance would be okay though.

By diehard Go To PostIm still of the opinion that 4k is just too high for 27''Even if the viewing distance is like 1 foot?
Or do you mean that 1440p is a better option?
By sy Go To PostEven if the viewing distance is like 1 foot?1440p at 27'' is a great DPI (about the same as 1080p @ 20'') and you won't have to use any scaling. DPI scaling in Windows does keep getting better but I still see issues every once in a while. 4k @ 27'' will still definitely look great , especially if you only use programs that are high DPI aware, but if it was me I don't know if i would pay extra for it.
Or do you mean that 1440p is a better option?
I'm assuming since you are looking at 60hz that this is for desktop use and not gaming?
So JayzTwoCents was talking shit yet again? (like when he used pre production AMD shit to call 4000 line unstable lmao). Surprised.
In fairness I’ve seen a lot of Ryzen 3600 and 3700 users complaining about high idle temps due to the high idle voltage. Not I think it’s an issue like, but it’s seemingly a real thing

That's probably out of my budget.

I'm hoping that I can get a 60/120fps dual monitor setup sometime in the next year or three.
Do monitor prices decrease regularly?

By Laboured Go To PostSo if I wanted a reasonably decent 12+TB HDD sitting in my PC what might be the good options? This is the US, but looks like basically Seagate Exos: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/internal-hard-drive/#A=12000000000000,18000000000000&sort=ppgb&page=1
I just filtered to 12 TB+ drives and sorted by price / GB.
Ah yeah, I was looking at Exos models, but was somewhat unsure if there was any reason they'd be unsuitable for home use.
By Laboured Go To PostAh yeah, I was looking at Exos models, but was somewhat unsure if there was any reason they'd be unsuitable for home use.The ones above 8 TB seem to be helium filled which helps them run cooler. So, I guess just make sure you have some kind of active cooling in your case? They may also be a bit louder than normal consumer drives. That may or may not be a problem for you.
