If you own a Seasonic PSU (Prime/Focus/Core) and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics card that has a 12-pin input, then you're eligible to receive the cable free of charge. Later this week, on Wednesday, the Seasonic website will have an online form with which you can request the cable. You'll have to provide the serial number and a photo of the PSU, and proof of purchase and serial number for the GeForce 30 graphics card.

We're going sub-micron lads. Controller peons could never.
When does pc technology become stratospheric to our human senses. Has it happened already?

FE vs Reference PCBs for the 3080.
By HonestVapes Go To PostPut corepads feet on the G502. Smokey needs to trust me on this, It’s a necessary upgrade.
lol i didnt even know this was an issue brother vapes!

FE vs Reference PCBs for the 3080.
By Kibner Go To PostWhere are the capacitors on the FE? i'm confusedReference has polymer caps on the front, FE has ceramic caps on the back.
I think.
By Smokey Go To Postlol i didnt even know this was an issue brother vapes!Feels like a different mouse on the pad, the glide makes the whole mouse feel lighter than it is. If you’re happy how it is now, then fair play, but I really recommend making the swap.

Guide me to a custom loop m8.
I can even guide you to up your mouse feet game.
Going to sleep, hoping the review embargo is no more when I wake up.
My prediction is that the 3080 is a big jump in performance when you factor in DLSS and ray-tracing, but otherwise not quite the giant leap Nvidia wants us to believe.
Good night.

Calling it.
Any detail on the noise/cooling on the FE yet? Price and the build makes it attractive to me, but steered well clear in the past because third parties were well ahead on pretty much everything
By Laboured Go To PostHaven't fully watched yet. However Rich does say it's very power hungry.35% better performance for 20% increase in power consumption.
600w won't cut it.

Only watched GamersNexus' review, need to ingest more info.
So far I'd say it's about what you'd expect from a new flagship card in terms of performance over the previous one (2080ti). The new cooler design seems to be doing a fine job, especially considering the higher power draw, but it's obviously going to get beat by custom solutions.
The key factor and what makes it a great card really is the price compared to the 2080ti. It's going to be a sensational upgrade over my 1080ti, but if I had a 2080ti and wasn't into 4k gaming ... yeah, probably not worth it.
And it's only double the performance of the 2080 in fully path tracing games, namely. Minecraft and Quake.
Bit worried because my PSU has been struggling for a while. It’s been fine recently, but previously I would need to leave it unplugged for an hour before trying to boot. 10 year warranty so can send it back at any time, but now it’s working... 🤷♂️
By DiPro Go To Postthe 3090 is the real upgrade from the 2080ti.
Dipro super elite
By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostSo, as someone with a 2070, basically I'm chillin for a while?
~double the performance at 1440p for 700 use plus tax
Improvement over 2080ti for rasterization @4k: ~25%
Improvement over 2080ti for rasterization+selective ray tracing @4k: ~30-34%
e: oc's limited by power limit on bios in card
By Adam Go To PostSo, Aussie Steve finds only ~21% improvement over the 2080 Ti at 1440p.I'm waiting for the 3070 to get reviewed at 1440p before deciding on which one to get.
I guess I'm good for now.
By batong_doicare Go To Postlol, do i smell disappointment in the community?More like ... a gentle and expected crash with reality. 20-30% performance increase over 2080ti at 500$ less is nothing to be sad about.
Nvidia's claims were clearly exaggerated, so some backlash is to be expected.

Nvidia really didn’t even hide this, it was on show in the Doom 3080 vs 2080Ti footage.
