English Learning OT | for Bad Hombres

Hi guys, thought about making a thread for many of us who use english as a second language. A place to get our grammar questions answered, and maybe we could start "quoting" each other when we make a mistakes, by posting it here to avoid derailing the other threads.
I would like to ask about It's/is. For example, in the Netflix thread, Martins posted this:
I want to question if the film is any good. Can I start the question with "is" or do I have to use "It's"?
It's the film any good at all?
is the film any good?
Which one is correct?
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThere's one release out there and it contains the "canon" storyline.
Speaking of Netflix, they announced that Bird Box has been seen by 47M accounts in the first 7 days, they count as watched anyone who has seen 70% of the movie.
That's an incredible number, nearly a third of their worldwide audience.

I reckon your english is good enough that "it is the film any good?" instinctively sounds wrong to you.
It'd be like putting "eso" before "es la pelicula buona?" in spanish.
