We have the Q900R in our store, a 65 inch that is. Going at 5000 euros at the moment. Despite the lack of native content it does look impressive. But I honestly don't feel like it's that much better than 4K with the current content to justiy the steep price. Obviously this kind of tech is only meant for the "I don't care about money" kind of early adopter that just wants the best current tech out there. Besides the lack of content it's also quite a bulky TV again. They probably crammed a lot of shit in it compared to the much slimmer Qled models.
In The Netherlands especially 8K doesn't make a lot of sense to people. Our TV providers only just started rolling out 4K TV decoders to their customers. And even then there are hardly any TV channels with 4K programming over here. Mainly international stuff like the BBC and Discovery Channel.

So as long as those don't update, I can't see 8k making a big splash yet.
