By Moris Go To PostAre we gonna act like his touches don't get cut damn near in half when Ibaka and Durant come back?
im just trying to cheer gondo up man
now, which game going on now is the least ugly?
By KumaJG Go To Post Vaha have a point. Dwight don't have a post game that demands a double and Harden is very guardable without a double team.
No he doesn't.
Harden is "very guardable"=equates to assuming Harden will choke/play like shit. Defenses are going to get collapse on any Harden drives, which would allow a easy kick-out to the open shooter. Again, unless he plays like shit, defenses will play Harden honest. He's no slouch of a 3 point shooter.
I'll go ahead and say most teams won't double Howard. Gasol, Jordan, Chandler are all capable of guarding him one-on-one. Duncan usually does too, but I don't think they'll allow that for entire games because they usually go at each other blow for blow. Can't speak on Portland either but he did dominate as far as I know stat-wise.
Take a peak at this year's western all star big men.
Made it: Blake Griffin, Marc Gasol, Anthony Davis, LMA, Cousins, Duncan, Dirk
Didn't make it: Deandre Jordan, Tyson Chandler, Randolph, Asik, Bogut
NOt to mention the spots that opened up due to injury.
Then consider that once the old guard is gone outside of perennial locks like DMC, Durant, AD, Griffin that leaves 3 spots among LMA/Gasol and fringe guys like Ibaka/Deandre Jordan AND all the young guys waiting for their shine like Gobert, Favors, Draymond Green.
There's not a whole lot of room for Kanter as is and there's no room for him to average 20/10 on that OKC squad without an injury occuring or trade.
By RBK Go To PostMoris just nonchantly disrespcts Howard like that.
WOW.
WHERE IS YOUR CHALANCE GOOD SIR
By KingGondo Go To PostSo a 22 year-old center capable of those numbers isn't a potential all-star?
I mean, I'm not arguing that he's the second coming or anything. Just that he has the ability to make an all-star game someday. And we got him for the price of Kendrick Perkins.
I really don't understand why everyone's dog piling me on this.
Ahead of:
Marc Gasol. DMC, Bogut, Favors, Chandler, DJ, Anthony Davis, Tim Duncan... Nope. Nope, he's not sniffing the ASG.
Kanter doesn't even have the impact that RoLo does.
People are piling on for a few reasons:
This time last year Reggie was an AS snub. Steven Adams was the second coming. And Jeremy Lamb was just about to turn it on.
Kanter has had years to show any true potential to be a star. And he hasn't. His game has numerous flaws, and he's either been unwilling to work on them, or can't fix them. Add in that he's bit of a shitty team mate when things aren't going his way, and he's not a revered player for good reasons. Just because he's now in OKC doesn't fix any of that.
By this definition, Sum Bhullar could also make the All Star Game "someday".
But if you want to live your delusion fine. Thats sort of what being a "fan stan" requires, partly.

Tbh it's just that Gondo can talk himself into anything, and does.
First he talked himself into believing that Bropez was coming to OKC.
Then right after I put that avatar on him he was like "At first I was disappointed but now I realize I REALLY loved Kanter all along and he is better than Bropez!" FOH.
"McHale said Motiejunas will not play basketball for months."
Fucking motherfucker wtf He even posted a pic of himself running on a treadmill yesterday making it sound like he would be back really soon. Don't get it at all. Did he fuck it up even worse over night smh

You mean the series where LMA had back to back 40 point games and was the real dominant big during the series? (averaged 29.8 & 11) and forced Houston to change their line up multiple times?
Diwght put up good numbers. Averaged 26 & 13. But Houstons offense lost all flow when Dwight tried to post up. Just like now. And he was taking as many shots as Harden (18per game). He just isn't/wasn't the force that was dictating matchups in that series.
I'm sure that'll all go over your head though as you're just a clown.
By Moris Go To Post I didn't neglect to mention D12 on purpose. But seeing as he's nearly a 30 year old with back and knee problems, I wouldn't be surprised to never see Dwight make another all star game.
Realistically so.
By matrix Go To Post We lost Dmo for the rest of the season and playoffs!? are you fucking kidding me :(
Maybe we'll FINALLY get more Dwight PnRs?

Have you been watching like every single Spurs/Lebron game ever?
Harden converts FT's at a 170-200 points per 100 posession clip. He converts 3's at about 110 per 100 posession clip and has shown himself to go far far below that number in the last 3 playoffs. (40% from 3 = 120 points per 100 possessions).
Your front line will convert FT's at about 75-120 per 100 posession clip when hacked depending on who's being fouled.
Playing Houston you have to take away their open corner 3's and Harden Ft's. Let Harden shoot 15 3's. That's completely fine. If he makes 6-7 he'll be at 18-21 points per 15 shots. You can live with that.

That picture. That happy go lucky smile and no idea how to use this version of Dwight. Kill me now.
By giririsss Go To PostI'm sure that'll all go over your head though as you're just a clown.
I've already stated on this site multiple times I didn't watch the entire Portland series. Either way, sure Dwight wasn't guarding Aldridge the entire series because it would have been a different story.
Insults over the internet is just too cute.
EDIT: Playing Asik/Howard is damn near playing 3 on 5 on offense. Even if TJones can't defend in the post really, our offense won't stall like it did last season.

I mean this was yesterday, they fucked him up good. Time to fire Keith Jones. All our big man under him have eventually died. We need some Suns doctors/trainers.
By RBK Go To PostJust get ready to lose the avatar bet.
Going to miss that beautiful Assassin's Creed logo.
You actually think they're making the WCF? Like, actually? The bet was: 1st round loss I win. 2nd round loss it's a wash. WCF loss you win.

Psychintellectfuckthiseditor: how come?
By psychintellect Go To Postdoes it matter
I've given up so many times. That Detroit loss made me stop caring. If we make the playoffs, we're getting fucking mollywopped by LeBron or losing in 3 to Atlanta. If we keep our pick, Riley is trading it for some washed up vet.
I guess the only benefit of making the Playoffs is I feel like Dragic would be more likely to stay. But I feel yeh.

Why did I accept that again?
Either way, we would have to play lights out to beat the Spurs(if we even get the chance to). I like our chances, I'm not going to flat out say no, we're not making it.
By vire Go To PostI guess the only benefit of making the Playoffs is I feel like Dragic would be more likely to stay. But I feel yeh.
yeah that would be the benefit. He really wants to be in the playoffs. Hasn't been there in a whiiiiiile.
Bosh-Whiteside-Dragic next season tho!

Personal reasons.

At the same time, Pacers have had the Cavs number and won the season series... without George.
I think they could give em trouble.
But I mean the Pacers bitchslapping the Knicks is no indication of that.
Most Opportunistic Scorer
And the HabersTrophy goes to -- Kobe Bryant
Brandon Jennings received this Habbie last season, but it's Bryant's this time around. Bryant scored a remarkable 27 points per 36 minutes during rout scenarios (double-digit margin) and just 17.8 points per 36 minutes in one-possession scenarios (margin within three). Amazingly, he shot just 33.3 percent in the latter scenario when the game was tight. That 9.1-point drop-off is the largest in the league, just ahead of Quincy Acy (9.0). In essence, no one padded their point total more in garbage time than Bryant.
Garbage player on a garbage team
By DY_nasty Go To Posthenderson literally giving up mid-possession
you think you know tanking
You're not even kidding. The Raptors have been a bottom 5 defence since the all star break. The Timberwolves had like 14 players injured last week and still shot 53% against them.
And yet the Hornets only scored 33 on them in a half. They're not even an NBA team in their current configuration.
By DY_nasty Go To Post i've literally never seen a charlotte team this bad
This is where I'd bring up the Lockout year Bobcats but nah...I've seen this years team too..That team at least played hard despite being awful..this team took our best fuckery to lose.
