By The Frankman Go To Post Oh thank GOD I wasn't the only one who thought Barnes traveled. He looked to do it twice.
Its Lebron-esque impossible to not notice.. the only justification probably its looks kinda like loose-ball situation.. but I'm not sure.
Hey Brandy....
"Coach Rick Carlisle said the knee was hurting after the game against Oklahoma City, and the Mavericks aren't sure when Parsons was injured. "

Will take beal for Bledsoe.
Hilarity when Bogut talked Curry for MVP: "Well what's his name said no. What's that guy's name? Mark? I don't remember his name"
Heh.
Shaka Smart using his well horded accomplishments to cash in on...Texas? Wouldn't have really been my choice. Good gig, but turning down UCLA for Texas? Da fuk?
Billy Donovan angling for another NBA gig. Good coach but he seems like a flip flop type of guy. Really don't want him for the Wiz if he we fire Randys cotton ass.

UCLA's athletic director makes the Knicks look competent by comparison. I've never soon a guy do less with more.

Texas is a potential powerhouse in basketball. Fertile recruiting grounds, tons of money, easy conference. They're a football school but not on the Bama level. Basketball is popular in the state because of the pro teams.
Hell, Rick Barnes managed to succeed there early in his career and brought players like LMA, Augustin, TJ Ford, and Durant through the program.

I like the hire, it's at least sparked my interest back into Texas basketball.
The Barnes firing is a few years overdue.
http://grantland.com/features/jeanie-buss-lakers/">Grantland did an expose on the Lakers and their sorry state of affairs:
Jeanie Buss is the boss. She’s also not. She is the decision-maker, the final hammer, the decider within the organization. Even when it comes to basketball operations, she has veto power over her brother Jim and general manager Mitch Kupchak. She is their superior. But she does not, and says she will not, execute that veto power. She has empowered them to do what it takes to win.
Even now, more than two years after his death, with the Lakers in the midst of a historically unprecedented season of struggle, Jerry Buss still dictates policy. It was his decree that Jeanie would run the business side with Jim handling basketball. And Jeanie — loving, adoring daughter that she is — will not defy her father. Not yet, anyway.
Players with games of at least 30 shot attempts in a game this season
Westbrook - 9 games (40 PPG, 43%FG)
Kobe - 3 games (36 PPG 37%FG)
Harden - 2 games (35 PPG 38%)
Kyrie - 2 games (56 PPG 54%FG)
LMA - 2 games (34 PPG 47%FG)
LBJ - 2 games (37 PPG 45%FG)
Every day of March and April, it feels like the only thing the Rockets organization has been doing is lobbying the media to vote James Harden for MVP.
It's hard to remember a campaign this intense and focused for an NBA award?

wow. so Dr. Buss did make her the Boss.
I wonder if she was the one who gave Jim a timeline to get the lakers back to prominance or step down.

If you're a fan, he's top 7. If you're not - he's top 10. Anything above that is just disrespect. No different than calling Magic or Bird or Duncan or Shaq top 15

It's the philosophical PR equivalent of shooting nothing but close 3s and 2s.

Houston always leads the league in spending money on dumb award promotion trinkets. Just donate to charity. They sway no one.
Daryl Morey:
@ZachLowe_NBA why RU bothered by an entertainment biz being open about promoting their players? seems U would appreciate the candid approach
Zach Lowe:
@dmorey Like, what am I supposed to do with the giant Chandler Parsons Trivial Pursuit box/game from last season?
You see the combo of words like "Chandler Parsons Trivial Pursuit box/game", and you think wow that person is witty that can't truly be a thing right.
Then you goggle
and you're like "oh, wow."
By KumaJG Go To Post Rockets should of kept Parson instead going for Ariza.
Not for that price tag and Ariza has worked out really well.
Although I'd argue that the addition of Brewer may have been just as big of a signing.
By db Go To Post How many underage babymamas did Howard acrue in the season of 11-12.
Flip the card over:
"Lawyers for Mr. Howard strenusously deny any and all allegations and have no further comment pending investigation which, they assert, will clear their client of any accusations of impropriety. He was at a high school prom 500 miles away on the night of the alleged incident."
