By RBK Go To PostSo?
The games were competitive for the first two matchups(both without Dwight) until they just obliterated us in the 4th. The 3rd matchup Dwight was the only one that showed up and he got in foul trouble for the 4th matchup.
It's a better matchup for us because the Spurs offense is something fierce. Don't bring up statistics please.
And the Warriors aren't? Why are you trolling one of your own #RedNation brothers smh
By psychintellect Go To Post NBA Playoffs 2015 |OT| Houston's first round chances am fuck shit
Bang!
I feel bad for RBK. He's legit going to be surprised by another 1st round exit.
I'll give them credit when they actually beat us in the playoffs or win a title. I'm not into trying to downplay what the team is capable of achieving because of past history, and yes the Rockets overall have definitely underachieved in the last 15 years or so. You're basically trying to save face if we do get embarrassed.
Warriors fans know we've had their number in previous years. I'll leave it at that.
I don't really understand why yall have a hard on for seeing Houston out in the first round.
Well besides Vahagn.
When Morey goofed it was clown season around here. The team ends up literally being better than last years despite losing 3 key players in Lin, Asik, and Parsons... and then it turns to this first round exit thirst lol
By Omega Go To Post not like any of that matters, Houston isn't going to the WCF
I'll let you know by tomorrow evening.

Their win total is somewhat of a fluke. They should be at 50 wins, not 55. their point differential, SRS, etc are all down from last year but somehow won more games. They've been a bit lucky in close games, I imagine.
But such is randomness in only 82 events.
I think there are 2 reasons people don't want Houston to win. One, no one likes watching them play. They are boring as fuck and Harden's game, which effective, is annoying. Second, and don't take offense to this, but I think people don't care for Rockets fans. Not saying I think anything negative of you or anyone else, this is my perception of others.
Personally, I think Houston is boring and well, fuck Dwight. Nothing against Rocket fans.

Still gonna get eliminated by Portland like last year
By masud Go To Post So if the Heat beat the Sixers tomorrow they lose their pick? Bueno...
We got blown out at home by the Sixers at home with bosh.
We're gonna run a tank lineup tomorrow. Chalmer's gonna play 40 minutes. Fulton aldemire is gonna drop 30.
Your move Philly.

It's a fluke how? Because you predicted we wouldn't make the playoffs, and ended up 2nd in the Southwest? Because in a season where Dwight has missed 41 games, TJones 49 games, Beverley 25 and lost another starter in Parsons during the offseason, doing better than last season doesn't seem synonomous with 'luck'.
Randomness in 82 games, lol. You'd think this was the NFL or AFL or something.
Mamba I agree with everything but randomness and luck are lame statements used when discussing statistics. Basically amounts to "we were wrong. Can't tell you why. Here's a word that absolves us of our mistake" it's nonsense.
Its not about playing the season 10,000 times in some computer simulator, it's about correctly assessing the season as is.
That being said, you're spot on about everything else.
Everything the rockets do in the Morey era can be summed up as "Gimmicky gimmicky gimmicky gimmickness"
their bullshit poison pill contracts, their million and one trades, their offensive system. Everything is about being clever and exploiting gimmicks in every aspect of the business they can.
If it takes 5 more 1st round exits to get the guy fired, that's what I'll root for.
alright whatever so what are the important matchups today
who do i need to root for to get a toronto heat death in 4 games

we missed like half of our team for various reasons this year and still surpassed last years win total . That all adds up to luck?
And rocket fans do what exactly? There's like 5-7 of us on this board. Hardly anybody says anything unless rbk is trolling and everybody bites. Unless you're talking about Portland which in that case fuk Portland.
Harden averaging like 30 free throws a game to take down the Warriors off a Smoove three pointer in game 7 is something I actually would enjoy quite a bit
but idk, Harden is one of my favorite players. I don't like watching free throws, but I just appreciate guys who pressure defenses...I watch guys like Beal who bail out the defense so much that I can really appreciate a guy who knows what his strengths are and makes the best out of them.

We've been over this before so many times.
If Morey/McHale don't accomplish anything(WCF at minimum) with Harden/Howard, then both have to go. Not going to debate it. While a lot of it was luck and timing(then again, most trades are), he's done what he was brought he to do, which is build a competitive roster. He might not show "loyalty" by locking up fringe all-star talents into long-term contracts, but it's never hindered us as a franchise.

I still think there's a 40% chance the Pels beat the Spurs tonight and keep us out. That's what I hope happens.
But yeah... Tonight's gonna be some maximum tank shameful shit from Minny.
Also... 5 games is probably the max it goes assuming Ibaka doesn't come back. If Serge comes back we could push it to 6.

OKC and the Wiz are polar opposites. We desperately need a new logo but at least we have Presti. Y'all need to get rid of Ernie but at least your branding and unis are on point.
so the Raps have to beat the Hornets lol
and the Hawks have to beat the Bulls
in order for Randy to keep his job. I think the hawks will rest...but Bulls are the type of team to lose playoff seeding against a teams second unit despite going 100% so who knows...
I just will literally pray for Wall if he has to go to Torontos playoff atmosphere...4 consecutive L's are needed for the betterment of our future...but Wall doesn't deserve whats about to happen...

Supposedly the http://rockets.clutchfans.net/8363/houston-rockets-2014-15-playoff-scenarios/">3rd seed isn't a possiblity for Houston, so it's either Dallas or Portland first round assuming we win tonight.

So if the Spurs win and Utah loses, Houston will be the 5 seed and face Portland, correct?

Yeah, I know.
Realistically we shouldn't, only assuming we get it because of being a division leader.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Post Dallas Houston series would be hype
Even though Carlisle is leagues better than McHale, the Mavericks just aren't that good and have been playing .500 ball for weeks. Houston wins that going away.
