Cap floor next season is 56.7 mil, LA is at ~43 assuming they keep all their picks, after Davis and Hillaren't brought back LA is at ~33 mil.
So who wants a max contract?

With report that Kings GM Pete D'Alessandro headed for Denver, I'm told Kings exec Vlade Divac has serious interest in Lakers' Ryan West.
Faker fans tell me of this man.

By Moris Go To PostThis popped up on twitter with the comment "Maybe Winslow just doesn't want to go to Denver"
all them bricks in a shooting drill fam, literally losing money.
Losing money when he's projected to go as high as #4? Please. Ain't nobody wants to play in Denver right now except Mario Hezonja who'd be thrilled just to be averaging 10 minutes a game in the NBA.

SI.com's Chris Mannix talks about Notre Dame's Jerian Grant, Kentucky's Andrew Harrison, and the "Dream Scenario" for the Celtics of moving into the Top 5 to draft Emmanuel Mudiay.so it sounds like the Cs have already given up on Smart.
but for Mudiay?
i mean seriously?

These workouts don't happen in a vacuum either, he's no lock like Okafor or Russell for a top 4 spot so being dog shit isn't helping his case to be #4 overall. Dropping from 5th to 6th based on his shitty showing at these workouts, he could be costing himself a cool million dollars over 3 years.
I really don't see Ryan West leaving LA. He's a huge Laker fan who is being groomed to take over when Mitch calls it a career. I suppose he is close enough to ownership that he could still be up for the GM gig once Mitch takes off.
im pretty sure Ryan West was the one who urged Mitch to go after Jordan Clarkson.
from 46th pick to Rookie 1st Team.
looks like he has his dad's eye for talent.

I don't see why he would leave the Lakers either, unless Vlade convinces him that Sacramento offers him a chance to move up.

By Red Blaster Go To Postto be real, justise is a garbo mid range shooterFor sure, that's not why you select Winslow. But he's missing free throw line jumpers in a shooting drill that even WCS excelled at.
Serena Winters @SerenaWinters 11s11 seconds agoLooks like Mitch was impressed with Cam Payne's workout.
Cameron Payne's projected to go mid-1st rd, but Lakers trading up w/ 27&34 is an option: http://www.lakersnation.com/video-murray-states-cameron-payne-after-lakers-draft-workout/2015/06/09/ …

I'd be down in snatching him up.
No way LA can get to Payne with just 27th & 34th. Cam is gonna be off the board at or before OKC most likely. Doubt you can turn those 2 picks into a pick anywhere in the teens.
payne @ #2 of course

LA would have to find some team between 11th and 14th who would want our later picks + Sacre or some other crap and maybe a sack of money.
Which team in that range would rather have a sack of money than pay a rookie?

D'Angelo Russel, highest chance of being a Superstar AND a bust.
Knux can't have NOTHING
According to a new analytical study from ESPN, D'Angelo Russell has the highest probability of the 2015 NBA Draft of becoming a superstar while also having the highest probability of the top-25 guys of being a bust.
Russell has a 15.2 percent chance of becoming a superstar, while his bust potential is 40.9 percent, according to a formula that assigns percentages to players.
Russell had a strong freshman season at Ohio State and is capable of running an NBA offense while defending opposing wing players.
Knux can't have NOTHING
By DY_nasty Go To PostBooker isn't the worst thing that could happen. He's terrible - and I know he'll be terrible for years. Dekker will have a good game, 15 pt game off the bench in December and make me believe. He's somehow moved up to #8 in SI's latest mock:
Booker’s rise continues. At 18, Booker is the youngest player in the draft, but several execs say he has looked like a seasoned pro in workouts. Teams are enamored with his shooting, both for what he is now—a 41.1% shooter at UK—and what his clean shooting stroke will help him become. The Pistons don’t have a hole at two-guard, but Stan Van Gundy loves shooters; Booker could be hard to pass up.
Workouts and shooting drills, ya'll.
People can't even name a skill-less off-ball shooter that's done anything in the past decade outside of Reddick and Korver - and they both took half a decade to be worth their time on the court.
Chad Ford so believe what you will

D'angelo Russell is ahead of Okafor on some team's draft board
The play of Stephen Curry and James Harden has helped the draft stock of Russell, a playmaker and perimeter shooter. The same trend of low-post scorers falling out of fashion has hurt Okafor.
Russell ranks No. 1 or No. 2 on most analytical models used by NBA Teams.

Nike should also be a massive upgrade over Adidas from a design standpoint.
By rodeoclown Go To PostI'm in on Vaughn, too. But he's been climbing up the draft boards pretty quickly with his workouts and now we have no shot at getting him.
If I was picking in the back half of the draft, I wouldn't touch Tyus Jones. I don't like him. He screams Jonny Flynn to me.
I think the Wiz are high on him, he was one of the first guys to work out for us and we appear to be looking at guards right now. Grant was in also.
I'm actually high on Tyus. He's got things I like, which is a shot off the bounce and good action off of PNR. He's also a guy was tops coming out of high school, not coming out of nowhere like Flynn, and also went to Duke who churn out pros, unlike fukin Syracuse.
DX is on some bullshit right now. This isn't like them. They are making massive changes based off of rumors.

They mentioned Converse and Jordan in the PR, which means you can expect teams like the Bulls, Wizards, and Hornets to be Jordan designed jerseys.

I am willing to take the risk.
Came away with Tyus Jones as the best prospect for the Wizards to draft. I like Vaughn but the amount of fucklessness makes him kind of undraftable for us given our history with knuckle heads.
Jones is awesome. He's dreck at the rim, but that's really not a bad flaw at all for someone so great at every other aspect of offense.
I'm really really afraid of taking Grant. He's such the easy to justify lazy as fuck pick the Wizards are prone to going for. 4th year guard that can "contribute right away". Regressed significantly from his Jr to Senior season. Meh.
