Eric PIncus who is at the Laker workouts, said Okafor shot better from 3 than Mudiay. Obviously Okafor wasn't impressive from range either.
Yup, it does.
Okafor's shot wasn't bad. Lot of bricks, but decent form. He's a C and not going to be taking 3s much at all for a while. being only 19, he has more than enough time to get a 15 foot shot in ala the Gasols and Horfords of the world.
It's not like there's many true stretch 5s in the NBA, anyway.

So Mitch told the media that the pick is his to make. If there's no consensus on the pick, the default is his pick and Jimmy will support him.

LakersReporter: Kupchak is in charge of LAL’s direction: “It doesn’t have to be a consensus. It’s my decision, with the support of ownership (Jim Buss).”
im mitch we trust.
scrubbing through LG.
Randle is the same as lebron now.
they would reject a Wall for a Clarkson trade.
and my favorite, that D'angelo will be this year's Exum.
I like how that's a meme now.

Mitch Kupchak says despite attempts, Lakers have yet to be successful in scheduling a workout w/ Karl-Anthony Towns.
someone interpret this for me.
lakers to get the no defense post up big while philly gets an all-star scorer and sota gets a rich mans al horford
By K@do Go To Postsomeone interpret this for me.He's working out for the Wolves this week. So his agent must be sure he's going first.
By K@do Go To Postsomeone interpret this for me.He said he hasn't scheduled a work out yet, but expects a work out to take place.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postlakers to get the no defense post up big while philly gets an all-star scorer and sota gets a rich mans al horfordAl Horford is a really good player so I'd take that.
A rich man's Al Horford would probably be the best C in the league honestly. Essentially a 20&10 center who could potentially be a top 3 big at anchoring a defense, that'd be awesome.
@JerryZgodaLook at how deftly he says he doesn't want to play in Minnesota. Expert agent coaching here.
Okafor said after LA workout today that being No. 1 pick doesn't mean that much to him but playing for a winner does
By rodeoclown Go To PostHe's working out for the Wolves this week. So his agent must be sure he's going first.good, im tired of speculating.
gimme D'angelo now.

so you want credit for knowing it was wrong
yet you still let stannis do his work
Thompson had blown Saunders away during a pre-draft workout in 2011, when Saunders coached the Wizards. The Washington brain trust considered reaching for Thompson with the no. 6 pick before going the safe route with a big man — Jan Vesely, who ranked higher on most draft boards but is now out of the league. “We toyed with it,” Saunders says, “but heaven forbid you go out of the box and pick someone you’re higher on than anyone else

Adding 3 offense only players (kobe, Randle, Okafor) to an offense only roster is gonna make next year crazy, shouldn't be boring at least.
Clarkson/Kobe/Young/Randle/Oka is gonna be a trainwreck on D.

why you do this?

Mitch is gonna roll the dice on Oka, hope he can play average D and stack the perimeter with defenders who only know how to slash and don't even know where the 3 point line is.
Straight up 1960s are back y'all, in basketball form.

the Lakers should draft Russell
By knux-future Go To PostI feel Mudiay future is going to be a reality
if the Lakers take Russell that's the only pick they can make maybe
we gonna try to rob the Knicks, get told to kick rocks and be stuck with Okafor, who will be pissed and a poor fit.
;_;
;_;
By Moris Go To PostJahlil+Randle are gonna allow 100+ all season, I really don't think LA is much improved without a big FA signing.Don't think I want to see another tank season. Clarkson, Randle and whoever we pick and just let them play. Will still be pretty bad but I hope not bottom 3 bad. It's time to settle down and build on these guys.
Gonna be young/dumb as hell. On the bright side we might luck into the top 3 and keep our pick. That'd be amazing. Could snag one of the SF prospects like Jaylen Brown or Ben Simmons
I also doubt Kobe can play more than half a season. Just give him the symbolic send off and retirement montage and close that chapter of our team.
Russell's average athleticism is still a big concern to me. He wasn't great at getting to the basket in college, I question if he can create space consistently in the NBA.
I can't wait until Mudiay falls to the Hornets and emerges as Gary Payton Part 2.
DY dusts off his old Larry Johnson jersey and tells us to prepare our asses for perpetual Hornets vs Cavs ECFs.
Lance Stephenson hangs himself. Kemba in tears.

I'll take it.
did russell really measure out at 6'4? he looks taller than that on film---concerning because he's nothing close to a point guard imo
By K@do Go To Postis it me does D'angelo's game remind you of Dwill.
I'll take it.
I see more Roy than Dwill
By Moris Go To PostRoy was a legit athlete tho
edit: Draft express lists Russell at 6'5" and he has a good wingspan
Roy was always knocked for his athleticism
If we have to pinpoint a weakness in Roy’s game, it might be the lack of a standout trait that he can bank on at the next level. While Roy is certainly spectacular off the dribble, he doesn’t have that “blow-by” explosiveness or “dunk contest” leaping ability of a star NBA wing. He has the ability to handle the ball and create for his teammates, but he probably won’t be playing full-time PG in the NBA.
For this reason, Roy may project as a “consummate roleplayer” type at the next level
By Kuma Go To PostRoy also could finish with both hands..Russell off hand is dookie
Roy was 3 years older tho that's a basketball that can be learned
By lovingsteam Go To PostGive me Towns or give me death.
RIP
Russell has a better stroke than Roy did, though. There's trade offs here, but I do like that comp. Same kind of do everything guard. He can shoot, pretty good handles, can create for others and he rebounds well for his position.
I think he does too much to not succeed.

Agreed. I actually think Russell is the better athlete but Roy used angles so damn well
