By Moris Go To PostHow do the "pick the best player available" members of Knicks-Slaent feel about Mudiay's draft stock slipping? They only reason he's dropping is because people think the Knicks aren't gonna take him at 4 based on heresay. He's still bpa at 4.
You still gonna campaign for him as the pick if he isn't the consensus 4th best prospect by draft night?

I get what the FO is looking at here but taking Payne when Mudiay, Winslow or WCS will for sure still be on the board is fucking loony. Trading down in the draft to get him is even worse. Maloof-Jimmer levels of clownshoes.
Honestly, Payne's jumper is almost as ugly as Klay's face and he was getting shook by OVC defenders at the rim. That level of softness in a dude's driving/slashing game is unacceptable for somebody who's shooting is inconsistent.
Kevin Love hadn't played in a playoff game in his NBA career until this season and the experience unfortunately came to an early and sudden end when he injured his shoulder in the first round.
Love can become a free agent this offseason, but he's seen enough as a bystander to want to return to the Cavaliers.
"I had so much fun watching it because I want to be in a moment like that," Love told ESPN after the Cleveland Cavaliers' 108-100 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors. "I'd rather be out there helping those guys, and I saw a lot of places where I could help.
"I've never wanted to be in a game more than that one," said Love.
Asked specifically if that meant he wanted to be back in Cleveland next season, Love said, "Yes. I want to win."
Love has never publicly wavered from his stance during his lone season with the Cavaliers.
Asked why that speculation remains, Love said, "It's just the way the world works now. People talk so much and might tell themselves a lie so much they start to believe it. From there, the narrative starts to change. I haven't changed my narrative. I'm going to keep supporting these guys, and we'll be talking to Cleveland after the season."
Yes Kevin. PLEASE resign with the Cavs. Do not let Jim Buss reach out and give you a max contract because he would. STAY STAY STAY.
Pay attention Lakers fans … you could be looking at the future of the Purple and Gold – 'cause Karl-Anthony Towns is in L.A. and just had a meal with Lakers prodigy Julius Randle.
Here's the backstory … it's still unclear who will fall to the Lakers at pick #2 of the upcoming NBA Draft – but most believe it's between Towns and fellow college hoops phenom Jahlil Okafor.
Which is why it was interesting to see Towns in Beverly Hills at Il Pastaio having lunch with Randle on Thursday – who, like Towns, played his college ball at the University of Kentucky.
Both guys insisted the lunch wasn't a recruiting meal … but Towns told us he'd love to play with a "legend" like Kobe Bryant.
We also asked how he felt about possibly going to Minnesota. Check out what he said.

Okafor may just be a better fit for Minnesota. Let's not act like he's a slouch. With the young squad they have, they're not going to be hurt too much.

Rubio can't shoot at all.
Wiggins plays mostly by posting up.

Towns fits in better literally everywhere. Like IWMTB pointed out he would be especially bad in Minny, I think he'd be less bad in LA.

To be fair, Towns won't be that much better in terms of offering spacing for a few seasons at least, and i think him developing a 3pt shot is pretty much completely bullshit, and thats without taking into having flip in his ear
By Moris Go To PostIt's not just 3 point floor spacing, Okafor literally can't even mid range at all right now.
That just makes Flip harder.
Wiggins and Shabazz will have to be the ones providing spacing at the end of the day.

By VahagnIt's why Giri (and much of the stats community When it suits their narrative) still think Pop is D'Antoni Lite despite their playbooks being massively different.
As previously stated "I heard it in an interview once" isn't a legitimate argument. Read the damn playbooks. Watch you tube videos. Do something to indicate you give a fuck about basketball beyond chalking up W's in your imaginary chalkboard.

I'll take the guy that shot 82% from the line in college over the guy that shot 50% from the line in college in terms of future floor spacing tbh.

Again playing devils advocate, if Jahlil is as dominant of a post presence as we've seen in the last decade, then he's going to create a lot of wide open shots for perimeter players, more than might be expected of a rich Al Horford esque talent.
Shabazz and Wiggins are both going to need to become threats out on the perimeter despite whatever skills they have as post scorers, because neither are great enough passers to be able to run offense through that action.
I do feel pretty confident that Oubre will be a good defender, and he wouldn't be asked to do much dribbling for us... But even his shot isn't as refined as his numbers indicate.
I trust Presti's judgment, but I'd feel a lot better drafting him if he was in the 20s.

I joke but I think Frank and Dekker will be solid pros...maybe not top 15 in a draft solid pros but solid nonetheless. The Jazz really needs one of their point guards to stop being really bad at times and they are set.

I've been a vocal fuck mudiay at#4 but that 3 pt shot is looking real sweet...... If he can get that down he might be better than Russell especially if the knicks slot him in the 2.
Frank I don't love (hate drafting old players), but I'd be fine with him since if he makes 2 threes a game, that's just what we need... But Dekker just... I don't see the fit at all and don't love the talent. My wishlist is: 1. Turner 2. Johnson 3. Portis 4. Booker 5. Oubre 6. Frank (assuming Porzingis and WCS don't fall to us).

If he gets that shot down the knicks can put him at the 2 and tell him to catch and shoot and attack the rim and kick out to shooters. A lot of his viability will depend on how effective he can be without being the ball handler.
get hyped knick-slaent.

i dont even understand how Porzingis is a lottery pick
his stats don't suggest elite shooter--inconsistent deep ball across various seasons and his FT percentages have been fairly lawl...i know youth is a thing, but look at Mirotic's numbers for what a good shooting prospect looks like
