By Moris Go To PostTowns shooting 3s
fuck this I'm out.
By RBK Go To PostHow many Cs are even asked to shoot 3s?It would definitely be a nice thing to have on the Wolves given they have wings that like to post up and a point guard that can't shoot. I'm not saying he'll be used like Ryan Anderson in the NBA, but the threat of Towns popping out for a 3 would definitely help keep the defense honest on a Rubio pick and roll.
Its nice to have, but come on.
Russell allegedly has a 40 inch vert.
He has the wingspan and now the jumpouttadagym ability.
Hinkie pls

Which if Towns can shoot over .350 he opens up a lot of other sets for other guys.
It's about what he can do for the other players on the floor.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostKnux secretly excited
I want to be...but I was excited on the low last year..then Embiid broke his foot and Hinkie said Fuck you Knux, hold this tank on your chest scrub.
I just feel like he's gonna do some outlandish shit because fuck you that;s why and take Porzingis and play him at the 3 and shit.
fuck

I don't buy that at all. 40 inch is elite of the very elite. He hasn't shown that AT ALL

You cray.
By Kuma Go To PostVaha got a point, dude haven't should athleticism all year…
I agree btw. Draftime is full of dudes who suddenly are world class athletes despite never showing it. DWade and Rose have a 35 inch vert. Westbrook too....while MCW has like a 42 inch vert andn Shane Larkin has a 44.
This is fuckery season

By giririsss Go To PostMCW is pretty damn athletic, he's just rather slender to boot.He didn't use that athleticism well tho. On rebounds yes but he got bodied defensively a lot here (which TBF...most players do...by design. Plus he still has to wain himself off of that zone...he legit would play zone by himself at times), and he often makes shots harder for himself.
eh, vert numbers don't really matter, more like how often are you able to use that athleticism in game
shit a big part of the reason charlotte drafted cody was because his athletic bs at the combine that had some people talking about blake griffin lite
When I think of Towns, I think of kind of a rich mans Al Horford--all the positives of Al's game except with better defense and post offense.
Jahlil....is so hard to project.
I actually....don't love Russell with the eye test as much as I like him on paper. He reminds me of a rich mans Jeremy Lamb in some ways. I actually get a ton of red flags whenever I watch him but then I look at the stats and say...eh....I must be missing something. Hope I'm wrong.

This is my issue with Russell. I must have caught all of his bad games or something because he never jumped off the screen like his numbers and hype should have. But he can shoot, believes in himself, and if bros with both Noel and Embiid. So why not. I feel like Mario would be a reach. I love Winslow but he is only "worth" it if he can be a SG that is capable of creating his own shot at times..which I doubt. Mudiay is literally a mystery who based off of what I "know" I normally would like more than Russell.,....but Exum has me shook.
Russell does have the Knux predraft dislike going for him as I have been so damn wrong over the years so hopefully if we take him..I am again. I'm happy with any one of the guys I just mentioned tho (I'd trade back for Mario or Winslow). Kristaps may be the only one who would have my soul going to Pluto....and welp
how would you feel if the lakers took russell and you guys went for BPA instead of fit so took okafor
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthow would you feel if the lakers took russell and you guys went for BPA instead of fit so took okaforMe and Lakers-age wouldn't be cool anymore.
I like Okafor but he fits poorly with both of our bigs (Noel less so I guess), probably would be pissed with his lesser role, and would all but signify that somebody gets moved eventually..and the rebuild probably continues on yet again. We need to start having guys here for more than a year and shit eventually.
I'd imagine Hinkie would take Okafor and try to see if he can catch Phil slippin but fuck the Lakers if it comes to that
Athleticism should be one of the last thing you at a player.
Karl Towns offensively pass eye test for me. Defensively he no better than Jah.

Must have not been willing to leave Iowa without extra security, cause that deal is like 3 years too long.

James Ham and Aaron Bruski go over Pete D'Allessandro's time with the Kings and why his possible leaving doesn't worry anyone.
It's kind of brutal. Seems PDA and Mullin were behind the firing of Malone. PDA was against IT.Started interviewing assistants without telling Malone. Malone found out, pointed out his contract put him in charge of that. Malone asked to bring in Corbin, FO told Malone that Corbin must coach Summer League team. Corbin started coaching SL team without a contract. Knowing they would get rid of Malone, and that Malone liked IT, there was just one less reason to keep him around.
Rudy Gay trade his best move. Got guys like Royce White, Terry and Mbah Moute who didn't want to play in the NBA or for the team.
FO fed the press fantastical stories. Leaks were rampant and causing friction.
Just based on two press guys, but it will be interesting to see how things go this summer with Vlade in charge and Mullin gone, and PDA just doing salary cap at most. Apparently, he's really good at the salary cap though.

I hope Hoiberg would made statement he would like to give Mirotic bigger playtime real quick, if that happen.. dude is cool in my book.
James Harden would like help at guard:"That's 1 of the conversations me & Daryl r going 2 have & the coaches,1 of the pieces we need to add"
Funny thing about the rockets I bet Beverly leaves and becomes a better quality PG and in a few season Morey will be like "he's our number #1 target due to Analytical reasons...."
With that said the reality is Morey is about to pull a Morey and look to Starphuck the Heat for Wade somehow.

By psychintellect Go To PostWhy can't he?He's relatively ball dominant. All those drives for fouls. And he's always been so. Ynb was basically the sg when harden was on the floor.
It's not a bad thing. He can be a good facilitator. But he isn't on that rox team.
Avery Bradley/Jerian Grant or bust.
At the same time, would be kind of surprising if Morey commits to a player with a long-term contract. Not many options available either.

Continue to hear that the Kings are very intrigued by Wes Matthews. Don't know what's there, but chatter keeps surfacing. Keep an eye out.
Was always a fan of his. Supposed to be back to activity by August. Not sure what the market will pay him though.
I always figured he'd stay in Portland.

I really hope Flip is foolish enough to draft Okafor over Towns. I will cry tears of joy if Towns falls to us.

Git fucked PDA and Mullins.
Why the fuck we even talking about Wes Matthews? Simultaneously giving up on Swaglemore and Beastkis? This fuckin FO man lol

Yeah Lyles isn't a bum. Maybe not top 5 worthy..but I could see him sneaking into the top 10 easy. Dude sacrificed a lot at Kentucky.
Karl-Anthony Towns is the No. 1-ranked player on my Big Board. However, virtually all the signals from sources inside the Wolves point to Jahlil Okafor being Flip Saunders' favorite right now. That obviously can change as we get closer to the draft. Workouts and interviews and lobbying from staff (I hear most of the rest of the staff favors Towns) could push Towns back atop. And after watching Towns' workout Monday, I believe that the Wolves will figure this out in favor of Towns.
It's really, um, comforting when your GM has to be sold on the best prospect in the draft. I think he'll eventually come around, though.
Jahlil will have an amazing workout also
He won't shoot threes, but watch him knock down a bunch of Duncan'esque bank shots
flip is excite

Does a rookie have any sway about where they'd like to be drafted?
For example, could Towns ask small market teams not to draft him? Or to trade him immediately? Or state he doesn't want to play for a certain team?

Ricky Rubio didn't work out for the Wolves, there were rumors he didn't want to play in Minnesota, but after they got his draft rights, it didn't really matter, his only way to the NBA was through the Wolves. The only way to get out of a team's hold is to sit out a calendar year and then re-enter the draft and nobody is doing that.
If the Wolves select Towns, he's playing in Minnesota.
