Flip Saunders definitely wanted him to coach the team last summer, though. He didn't want to come to a rebuild.

It's bad process, like pretty much everything the Wolves do. He was never out there interviewing like Alvin Gentry or Nate McMillan or any number of good coaches that were outside the country club. Flip probably wanted to coach all along.
