Well Gentry is getting second interview with Pelicans. I've tried to sell myself because it seems the inevitable choice but I'm still not very excited.

Granted, he had Steve Nash, but he kept the team playing .500 ball even as management was gutting the roster.
I'm pretty sure he's a good coach and would be a good hire.
I guess. Our biggest problem has been defense though and nowhere has Gentry gone where he really markedly improved a defense. And I know all three stints weren't in ideal circumstances but I look at guys like Kidd and Stevens taking pretty mediocre rosters to decent records and begin to think we are likely just marginally improving our coach by taking the hot guy from the hot team. Doubt he even gets a call if he were still on LAC.
It probably also has to do with the fact that I have disliked every big decision Dell Demps has made. Frankly he should of been canned with Monty.

Have to admit I am not caught up on that but this is also one of those cases I need more convincing because a lot of times coaches are given credit for a player simply by being present during their growth. I mean does Byron Scott get credit for CP3? not saying Gentry doesn't deserve it just need to know a bit more.
CP3 was beast coming out of college. So Byron Scott gets no credit.

Pretty much. Thibs is a great defensive mind but stubborn as fuck everywhere else. Noah was shiiiiit this year and yet he had him out there fuckin up for 40 minutes while benching Mirotic because fuck you despite Mirotic legit carrying the team for a month.
Thibs never wanted to adjust even a little bit...and it bit him in the ass. Him getting fired like that and Reinsdorf being a poop with those comments will now only serve for him to continue his fuckery.
