Ain't nobody got shit on the Hawks new logo right now.

I'm hoping Nike gets the next NBA contract. The NBA has a lot of teams in need of an aesthetics overhaul.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostWhat do you think the odds are that NBA teams have their old (1995-2004) scouting reports on computer file and would be willing to send them to me just because I begged for their scouting reports through email?
Also try to reach out directly to current and former scouts. Hell up until Clarence Gaines got hired by the knicks he had a blog where he would share his old scouting reports. I could see a scout not currently employed being ok with giving their reports especially if they weren't working as scouts anymore.
wonder could the Heat, Lakers, and Cavs pull a sign and trade deal.
Lakers gets Love
Cavs get Wade
Heat get some cap relief and a pick
or are the Heat to much over the cap for that?

By RBK Go To PostDon't know how you came to that conclusion from my post.
Firing Thibs is most likely to appease Butler snd Gasol(who's pretty much severely underpaid at this point of his career). Noah is for sure gone though.
Has almost literally nothing to do with those players preferences.

Probably worse tbh...
I mean the dude is literally the greatest sports star in the states history. Since winning three championships he even rose above deity status Marino. The Heat organization started this marketing promotion called "Heat Lifer" after Lebron left and Dwyane was prominently featured in all of those videos.
Even when things weren't going right with the big three, rarely ever did the blame go on Dwyane. They fucking renamed Dade County to Wade County once...
I'm telling you, shit would hit the fan like you've never seen.
By giririsss Go To PostHas almost literally nothing to do with those players preferences. It doesn't, but I'm sure their opinions mattered the most assuming they were some of the starters that complained.

I don't give a fuck about how classy bulls front office are, I only want resign jimmy and they play watchable basketball next year.

But that it mattered the most.
By fertygo Go To PostI don't give a fuck about how classy bulls front office are, I only want resign jimmy and they play watchable basketball next year.Class has a lot to do with it. No one wants to play for a FO that throws everyone under the bus. And good coaches are going to be hesitant in signing up for a FO that throws them under the bus. And this isn't the first time CHI have done this.

Hoiberg it is then, sigh..
GarPax can FOH if cycle repeating again, he only forgiven because Jimmy and Mirotic looks awesome.

To some degree it basically all comes down to class. The Bulls front office requests of minutes restrictions, player load balancing, injury management etc. are all reasonable. There's no need for starters to be playing 40 minutes in a game you win by 20. it means you're restricting development of rookies, and significantly increasing injury probability.
The Spurs being the gold standard of player welfare management. The Thibs Bulls being the shit stained standard.
But the bulls FO didn't handle it well at all. With VDN getting to a physical altercation with one of them. And the shitty way they went about releasing statements to the press about Thibs, while still employing him. They also take everything way too personally. Putting their personal feelings into everything it seems, and letting little disagreements get personal and turn into larger problems.
If Thibs didn't get on board wit their new theory of player management, you fire him. You can state your reasons afterwards. But you don't run a 2 year long press assassination of his character. It divides the team, the organisation, and creates a bad work environment.
GarPax are good at some things, but they seem to be at the end of their tenure as FO execs. To me, anyway. They probably need to be shown the door too, now that Thibs is gone. Refresh the organisation and update that culture.
It's still an attractive posting for a coach though. Look at what a "rookie" coach like Kerr did walking in with a loaded roster. The bulls are similar. Great roster, young guys, money, experience, good city.
Wade to Cavs would make him look like a massive pussy ho and even I think he's above that.
Having said that, I see him going to Chicago or Rockets maybe.
But fuck no he ain't worth more than 16M a year. I wouldn't even give him 10M to be honest.

Dwayne Wade with the I'm Coming Home story. Signing with Chicago with a starting line up of Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic, and Pau Gasol.
Bench of Aaron Brooks, Tony Snell, Heinrich, Noah, etc.
I know they can't afford him.
My bet is he's staying with Miami only cause nowhere else is gonna take him and he ain't gonna like the other offers.

You know the saying their are lies, dirty lies, damned dirty lies, and statistics. First that list doesn't include Mudiay because he went to China or either of the 2 europeans who are lottery bound. That is fair but though reading through it they do not justify the reasoning for how some of the data was weighted either.
For example Steve Shea's model does not use regression and relies upon a scale based on time in college but it then doesn't explain how much weight is given to time in college in that model. Another example would be Jesse Fischer model which accounts for players he assumes are NBA bound as the players team mates, coaching preference (based on the writer's assumption not productivity) with the goal of trying to judge how long a kid who has never played in the NBA's career will be. I have no problem with analytics but I like to see where the Data is and have it broken down as to why certain factors are given precedent over others.

By AWojPerhaps this partnership was forever doomed. Thibodeau was Jerry Reinsdorf's choice to coach the Bulls, choosing him over Paxson's (Doug Collins) and Forman's (Lawrence Frank and Mike Brown).Bulls management really ain't shit. They wanted Thibs so sing their praises?
Per Realgm wiretap:
The Chicago Bulls moved forward with firing Tom Thibodeau this week as it became clear that the front office had an understanding with Fred Hoiberg that he would accept the job.
Hoiberg played for the Bulls during his playing career and has prior front office experience with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Hoiberg has had a successful run as head coach of Iowa State.
Its less about Hoiberg and more about his assists honestly. Breath of fresh air that Chicago could use though.
Hoiberg vs. Donovan in the Finals.
The rookie coach curse was broken this year, the college coach curse gets broken next year. :3

Is Doc the GM even capable of such moves?
You already have Josh Smith who's stealing your team's money. What do you need Wade for? You know he wouldn't play off the bench right?
Either way, he's quickly going to realize no one is going to give him that kind of money and come to terms with it in Miami...where his stats will drop hard and he'll demand a trade.
